I'm hoping for a currency challege; I drew both loot box generators on ad draws #1 & #2 for a change. Last time I hoped for a challenge, it came true. *fingers crossed*

Should have crossed fingers AND toes I guess. This is ridiculous. Perhaps they’re trying to get everyone to quit? Well, I’ll fix ‘em—I refuse to quit and I think I’ll start filing tickets every blasted day. Does anyone think it’ll work (she asks sarcastically). :-p

Totally ridiculous. Go easy on the support tickets though. Back in the day, ads were crashing left right and center and I got tired of it. I filed a ticket for every failed ad. They responded by banning me from filing tickets for a short period. And not fixing the problem.

Really? They banned you for posting Tickets?

True story.
It was the Hempire ad. Normal occurrence for the ad to play all the way through and then fail to signal the game to release whatever the award was, often accompanied by crashing the whole game. Since the every-few-hours Watch an Ad to receive 10 Flair exists, that sets the minimum award. Hempire would cost you any ad bonus it appeared on. The Welcome Back bonus being lost was especially egregious: a) it could be many hours of play, b) in an event, c) includes offline production (which warps don't) so could be the equivalent of thousands of hours of warp, which is **a lot** of flair, d) cannot be retried, e) I am 100% certain that Support has no way to award the actual lost pennies so flair is the only way to make up for it.
I watched the ad all the way through. I should get the promised award. Failing that, I'll accept 10 flair, even though it is sometimes much much less value than the promised award.
I started filing a ticket every time I watched Hempire and didn't get the award. This was after I'd had many crashes myself and after complaints on the forums for quite a long time and about this specific ad problem and other ad problems in general. I always asked for 10 flair, far less in many cases than should have been awarded. Ticket #79202 was the 13th instance. They (a supervisor no less) claimed, and here I am cutting and pasting their words but emphasis is mine, "_As stated previously there will be no further compensation for the reported ad issues you have experienced. There seems to be a misunderstanding of why you were receiving 10 Flair. **We are not obligated to compensate you for the ad reward** and this was never the intention behind the Flair you received._" Their position is that we can watch ads and they don't have to give us anything for that, despite having made an agreement to do so. They had given me 10 flair on one or two of the early tickets, but apparently as a "Sorry for your troubles", not, "we promised you something and didn't deliver, here it is now".
Then when I complained "I will never stop bumping/reporting these. If I buy something, and I don't get what I paid for, that's wrong." They said:
_Your question has already been answered and as I have previously stated we have no further response to the ad issue. We also will not be compensating 10 flair per ad failure._
_As you are bumping your request at this point, which is disruptive to our ability to do business, we are suspending your support privileges to our mobile titles for one week._
_After the suspension is lifted if you have any business with support please abide by the Kongregate Code of Conduct._
So yeah. They chose to renege on the deal they made, and, shoot the messenger. And continue to not fix the problem.
In other communication I've had with Support they've claimed they can't control the ads. Maybe that's true, in terms of they contract out to an ad providing service and don't have direct control over the ads selected for display, maybe it's not. Even if it's true, they could still talk to the ad provider and get something done. And even if they can't or won't do that, they can choose a different ad provider. The issue was well within their ability to correct/mitigate, they just chose not to.

Holy cow, I just read your pose. That deserves 1 star on every game they currently care about right now, imo. From all of us.

Since I'm (Grey Market) F2P I don't feel like I have a particular leg to stand on (I'm getting what I'm paying for), so I let it drop. If I'd paid real money though, I'd probably be on board with this idea.

Question about the challenge (that might be) starting tomorrow (12/2/20): the old events thread lists a holiday event with rules being “slots only available on last 5 investments.” Does anyone remember what that actually means?

All 10 floors are in play, but you can only assign characters to the top 5 floors. I think this was the jyst of it.
