This game in a nutshell. They’ll add a cool feature that you can play around with for maybe a week, and then they nerf anything powerful or fun from the last patch. And that makes it near impossible to get to the new feature unless you were already there.

Both statements are just not true. This is a Realm >GRINDER< game. You don't get progress presented on a silver tablet, but every mayor patch the early game just gets more boosts. It takes time to get to the endgame and i know where you're coming from but why shouldn't i be rewarded for farming Lineage Levels for the last 2 months? Also i restarted the game at least five times and it is still fun to play every time. I don't think you have to get to the endgame as fast as possible to feel rewarded and have fun when playing this game. Just try to enjoy the journey. If the game feels too much of work to you then maybe this isn't your game. Games shouldn't feel like work.

I agree with you about restarting the game. That is really the reason I stick with it at all at this point. I truly believe Realm Grinder, up through R100, is the best idle game I've played, and there isn't even a close second. But A2 was HELL until we got the Elite factions(which petered out quickly anyway) and A3 hasn't ever been on the same level as A0-1. Unless they plan on radically changing up the game, DG just needs to give Realm Grinder a proper end sometime soon. If they try making a satifying end, at the same level as the beginning, Realm Grinder could still go down as my favourite in the genre. However, as it is now, I just really hope that they don't plan on dragging this game through the mud forever.

Realm Grinder is necrodooms life so he will protect it at all costs. I agree with everything you've written. The game became very tedious.

So some faster parts became longer, and some slower parts became faster. Like i said, you havent launched the same since 3.8 and you already argue that the game is tedious because you read some patch notes, even though the game is now overall faster. Of course theres no convincing you because you just feel its more tedious, regardless of what actually changed.
