@why - I'm going to be updating the guide within the few days after the beta ends, it's got some other stuff that needs touching up for fixing or adding in. Thanks, though.

On R0, in the 50B-1Qi Druid farm phase, my max mana pool is 1800 though, how do I get it to 2400 like you say it should be?

More gems.

The closer you get to Qi Gems, the more max mana you'll have. On a run through early Druids, I have 1600-1800 before even comboing and getting money, and towards the end of the phase, 2400+. Stone Pillars give a huge amount, so making sure you BuyMAX them will really help, instead of buying in round numbers. Druid Heritage also helps for that as well. When I was doing runs for the guide itself, no Premium content at all, I was able to achieve 2400 during that phase in several different runs, including each of the last few runs of that phase. But yeah, it's mostly the higher-end side of it that gets that, and I'll be updating this after the expansion, with that change to it.

@1bookboy
I think Kongregate changed the formatting of it's forums to be in-line with that of Reddit or other popular websites. Users coming or going from one platform to another will have less formatting rules to remember. Here is a [link to the Reddit formatting code](https://www.reddit.com/r/raerth/comments/cw70q/reddit_comment_formatting/).
It looks like almost all of the formats on Reddit work here too and not just the few you mentioned.
- **Bold** = \** (Double Asterisk)
- *Italics* = \* (Single Asterisk)
- ~~Striketrhough Text~~ =\~~ (Double Tilde)
- Bullte Point = \- (Dash)
- `Inline Code` =\` (Grave Accents)
- >Quote = > (Angle Bracket)
- [Link](https://www.kongregate.com/forums/8945/topics/643873?page=3) = \[Link Text](URL)
___
Page Break = `___` (At least three underscores)
You Can | Even Do | Tables
:--|:--:|--:
This | This | This
column | column | column
is | is | is
left | center | right
aligned. | aligned. | aligned.
Tables use these | (Pipes).
The first row is the column title.
The next row is the alignment for the column.
|:--| = Left Aligned
|:--:| = Center Aligned
|--:| = Right Aligned
The rest of the rows are the data you put in the table.
`Table the table made above was typed out with this code:`
`You Can | Even Do | Tables`
`:--|:--:|--:`
`This | This | This`
`column | column | column`
`is | is | is`
`left | center | right`
`aligned. | aligned. | aligned.`
I don't know if you'll ever use those in the future, but maybe it will be helpful.

I don't understand the relevance of your comment, mine was simply on a few of the differences, to explain why the guide looked funky for a few days if anyone looked at it, since those that I mentioned were on the guide in its old format. And the one you're referencing is over a month old.

@1bookboy
>So I decided to see if the **forums update changed the formmatting** in my guide, and it sure as hell did. Y'all only saw an asterisk on each step, but it had a backslash in front of it, too, for whatever weird reason. Also, **asterisks are no longer bold, but italics, and a double tilda (~) is a strikethrough. Double asterisk is bold**.
In your comment you mention Kongregate having a forum update which changed how formatting worked and how it affected your guide. You then went on to point out some off the differences in format. You did not mention if you were familliar with this formatting style from other websites or not. I figured other users might be currious as to why Kongregate would change the formatting style. (Not saying that that is the exact reason, but it could be one of them.)
Also, since your guide is long, I figured **IF** you weren't familiar with the more nuanced aspects of the new formatting style, like tables, it might be helpful to know all the new formats, so that if you ever choose to udate the guide again or do another guide somewhere else on the forums you would know that tables, line breaks, inline code, are possible in the new style. But, if you were already familiar with the formatting and knew all of it, then I figured maybe someone else reading the comments might be able to learn from it, use it in the future, and better understand why the formatting change took place.
I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just trying to share something that I thought was interesting an could be helpful, to anyone, in future guide making or updating. I thought it related enough considering you personally mentioned the change and that longer guides tend to have lots of different formatting use, formats that may be applied to the guide itself.

It's freakishly easy to unlock both Druids and Titans using Goblins, even at only 2b gems. If you're going for Greed Drive, you can also use that run to unlock Faceless. Might be worth adding.

This game is not deep, it does not require thought, it does not require a guide. Not to mention there already is an in-depth R0 guide located here: [https://www.kongregate.com/forums/8945-realm-grinder/topics/547245-guide-for-r0-starting-realm-grinder](https://www.kongregate.com/forums/8945-realm-grinder/topics/547245-guide-for-r0-starting-realm-grinder)

Titans easily surpassed druids especially in terms of speed it takes to get rolling and ability to far surpass gem totals. I was doing druid combos with triple TC and worse than a solid lightning strike with built in titan benefits.
Also for mathematician if you are not pushing e23 e24 gems and go fairy with that building setup it is pretty impossible to hit e45 coins to unlock dwarf or hit 1000+ farms. If that isn't in there people will waste long runs that end in having all the upgrades and falling short of the goal and also not getting gems or benefit from the run. Titans/Druids seemed much faster for getting enough gems to hit R1 than dwarf/whatever.
Step 39 and 40. It doesn't take two runs just 1. I went with goblins hit a rush and bought all upgrades and zoomed to 850 dark temples then bought drow all in one run 5-10 minutes tops. Demon is slow as balls to build up those FC and at that gem level they are good once ramped up but not even close to needed to hit 850.

> You really seem intent on suggesting/implying that a guide isn’t needed. I’m not saying it is, I’m saying the old, outdated one gets used a lot, and a lot of new players actually like a guide that isn’t a wiki, not something filled with a bunch of information they won’t use, as well as with a bunch of tips, instead of just facts.
>
> As was mentioned in the in-game announcement, there’s a quick tutorial in R0 (and a few times later). The ‘getting easier’ part is two minor adjustments (can’t say what). The old guide gets linked into chat a lot because of all the new players who ask for help – which means that guides are used, not just the wiki. A lot of people can’t run the wiki, either, because of browser crashes (I hear about that all the time, don’t say it doesn’t happen, and I’ve got a good comp with good internet, and the wiki lags to hell on me). The wiki tends to be outdated on some things, too. This guide will simplify what you’d look at in the wiki, too, and not require page changes. You won’t get useless information, you’ll get a bunch of tips for where you’re at, and more in this guide. R0 might be easy – but for someone just starting, a guide is IMMENSELY helpful.
>
> @TheLowerLife – a lot of people like guides, and not everything is easy to figure out on your own – some things require pure luck if you don’t know how to do it. And that guide is outdated, and if you read my original post – it’s going to become even more outdated with his next update. That’s why I’m doing this.

I must say how grateful I am for your guide. I just started playing and was enjoying it but couldn't figure out the whole gem/abdication thing. Your guide obviously helped in this regard and without it, I probably would've just abandoned the game, which would've been a shame. Thank you for your thorough work and generous contribution!

Thanks for the guide it was really useful to start playing the game. I'd like to ask (sorry if it's been posted before) if the secret trophy Advisor Insight is a good add for the guide seeing is an easy 10% increase.

I'm confused on unlocking the Drow. It says I should already have over 10000 total spells cast but I don't have nearly that many. How do I cast this many? Is there some other way than leaving my phone on for a few days straight?

You either leave angels autocasting TC for a few hours, or you just skip drow until R3 and mercs, where it's a lot easier to get the 10k spells. After all, you won't be using drow. Their heritage and the premeditation trophy are nice, but you can do fine without it until R3.

Alright thanks for the help. I'll probably try it R3 then.

Having reached the current end of content, I decided to run through early game again for fun. This is probably my 4th time through, and the neutral factions seem to be quite differently balanced this time. Normally I find that Druids beat Titans easily when it comes to speed, but this time through, even with all spells cast at once, Druids are struggling to get anywhere near Titans' production. I've always recommended Druids over Titans for early game, but it seems something has changed and I'm not sure that's still true. Even in R1 at e15 gems, with Mathematician unlocked and purchased, a Druid spell combo just gives x10 gems where Titans have been giving x100 on a good LS target.

Might be worth doing some bug hunting... Can you check when buying Faction upgrades and firing spells that they are actually doing what they say they'll do? It might be something like when the GB formula got changed into the % form instead of the multiplier form they forgot to multiply it by x100 or something like that.

Druids aren't the only faction that's different. Dwelves now beat Dwairies even with Mathematician. Dwairies can no longer manage x1000 gems in 5 minutes (with excavations) like they used to. Titans' strongest building is now Deep Mines for some reason. I'm not sure if all of this is because things were tweaked when Dragons were introduced, or if the change was further back, or if there are indeed bugs causing Druids and Dwairies to underproduce.

The guide has been updated, however, due to formatting difficulties on KONG, and the ease of it on Steam, it is not updated here on KONG, but instead, on Steam. The link to the Steam guide is http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1118498519 if you wish to view it. You shouldn't need an account to see it. It goes more in-depth now, too. Formatted better, easier to pick up where you left off, and just plain reads better.
