With or without already having another lineage at L25?
Is buying the merc unique building possible at R75 with no lineages above 14? If so, what build and gem range would be recommended?
Edit: it looks like mobile is handicapped until 2.7.1 comes out. The 2.7.0 neutral unique building cost is 1 DQaG while the NaW says the cost is 100 QaG.
Edit2: doable at e87 gems during assistant sunforce.

Without. Fairy was my first. All the others take short 2 minute runs with the same build switching out GB for FC. For Dragon switch DB with GB.

Darn, I was about to post my build for getting to lineage 25. I won't bother posting it since our builds are similar, I relied on doing undead 25 first and most of the differences in my build are based around that.
Has anyone looked into getting 1e13 or 1e14 mana produced yet? With 1e7 mana/sec it takes 11.5 days to reach 1e13 mana. I was thinking something like neutral mercs + dragon lineage + faceless 2nd bloodline might get max mana high enough to go after 1e13 mana at least. Would have to use either brainwave or combo strike to get enough assistants for magical treasure/shapeshifting to do much. Evil mercs would also be a good option, taking advantage of S50+S400, wouldn't be able to take advantage of DD4 though.

Ah, didn't know that offline trick. I did some experimenting with different lineages to try to up my max mana for it. Faceless/druid got quite high, but druid/elf was able to get even higher early on thanks to the massive boost to w1400 from click counts. I'll have to check how high the actual mana generation got while running those builds, since I was only checking max mana.

I guess we'll have to go after 1e13 mana while offline, that seems wrong for some reason :)

I'm currently at R76 and was fairly close to the gem requirement for R77 (had 6 Novg of 177 Novg) when the update happened. Then I had a very hard time finding a build that could get me to R77.
This build is going to do the trick very easily. All I had to do was give it a 7 hour build up casting of TC (and God's Hand for that little extra mana regen boost) and then I bought Share Benefits and turned all spells on full and on max Tier (well Tier 5 as I don't have any Tier 6 unlocked yet) and I'm getting gems a lot faster than I was before the update.
This is a very good build for R75-R76.

I've made some tests on this build and the Dwarf bloodline [EDIT: as second bloodline] works better (~*5 production) than the Dragon thanks to the boost to the # of artifacts. GG was ~9.6e9% and the last Drow challenge was a ~500,000 (toggling it off and on). R77, all the artifacts, 6e96 gems (in 10 minutes since I started the run I doubled my gems), GG, CtA, DB and SS were at tier 6 and the rest at 5. I also had 10k excavations and all the lineages to 20. Aside from C3000 and E1425 all the others upgrades that are based on the # of excavations were scaling pretty badly.
You need dragon lineage level 15 and respective challenge completed (i.e. you should have Dragon Breath spell to make this upgrade non-zero and thus available)

because you need the Dragon Breath spell for it to be buyable...and you don't get the Dragon Breath spell right away. You need to have a little patience and wait until you purchase the Dragon Breath spell a little later inot the run!

In the spirit of ol' normal Mercenary days, and the fact that theres going to be a lot of debate on which builds are better or worse, i purpose we should start naming merc research builds. I think 'We Shall Rise Again' fits the merc unlock build very nicely.
