I can now officially confirm that Season 10 will end on April 19th at 23:59 GMT.
The final tournament of the Season will be the Sunday tournament of that day.
Over the next couple of days more information will be released regarding the rewards, the hero modes, tournament modes, and any adjustments that we'll be making.

Nice!
Thank for the information. I am looking forward to see what is the "theme" of the reward heros...

I should have much more information tomorrow, but I can tell you the following for now:
The heroes awarded for the end of Season will follow a 'Rock Star' theme. Their skills, intended to be similar to that of a Bard in a typical d&d-esque game will be as follows:
"Aura (2 Turns) - Increased the direct damage dealt by friendly targets by x%". My initial thoughts are for the legendaries to give a +35% direct damage increase for 2 rounds, and the Gold Pass hero to give a +50% direct damage increase for 2 rounds. If anyone has any feedback on these are concepts or tuning, feel free to add. Alternatively we could look to make the Gold Pass have the same direct damage increase, but for more rounds.
Anyone ranked 1001 or lower will receive an Earth Hero.
Anyone ranked 101 to 1000 will receive a Water Hero.
Anyone ranked 1 to 100 will receive a Fire Hero.
Gold Pass hero will be an Air Hero.
In regards to the Tournament Modes, as it stands it's unlikely we will be changing the Tournament Modes.
In regards to the Hero Modes, we're looking at the following intially:
Your Heroes
No Heroes
Super Ascended (Level 1,000 Ascended)
Your Legendary
Random P6 (All same rarity)
Your Common
Random (Complete random, random rarity, promo, everything)
Random Legendary
Your Rare
Random Common
Super Rare (Level 1,000 Rares)
(In that order).
It's worth noting that tournaments will include new heroes, since the pool of heroes available for a tournaments is selected at the start of a Season. Therefore any heroes added since the start of Season 10 will be eligible to be rolled in the tournaments. Furthermore the addition of P6 should add some more variety for the tournaments. We're also working on something that may make the cut that I'll share closer to the patch if we're able to make it work that should make tournaments, amongst other things different to Season 10 and prior.
I should be able to share with you our intentions for rewards, as well as some changes to Tournament 2 tomorrow.

So they work like Helga or Minerva, but affect all friendly units, and only for a limited time, but much stronger?

Yes. Exactly.
My thought process is that these could be utilized with ricochets.

The current intended rewards for the end of Season (currency wise) are as follows:
4,000 Star Dust per 1 point of PvP Rating. (The number to the right of your name on the PvP leaderboard)
1 Prana per 25 points of PvP Rating.
1 EM per 400 points of PvP Rating.
10,000 Star Dust per 10,000 Tournament Score.
1 Prana per 30,000 Tournament Score.
1 EM per 800,000 Tournament Score.

I feel like this most seasons, but too much emphasis is put on PVP score rewards when it's a mostly passive no effort side of the game.
Yeh people might fight it out a little in the last couple days but largely you just are where you are and thats it.
Where as tourneys are a season long slog of effort trying to do well and rank high and the rewards are fairly meagre.
I mean comparing SD rewards for me: 10M tourney score = 10M SD, while 4300 PVP score = 17M SD.
I literally did nothing all season for PVP, I think i updated my grid once or twice because I had a ton of unused followers/heroes I hadn't bothered to put in there.

This. Long time effort should pay off.

I think the logic behind it is,
1. Tournies already pay out big rewards on their own, whereas PVP doesn't win you much at all. So the top tournie players already have a lot more rewards.
2. The tournie heroes are a nice extra reward, usually not that much until last season (as someone who just missed out on Helga, let me tell you it was a big loss there).
3. The real long time effort IS pvp, it spans much longer than the season and if you're really high up there it's cause you've been grinding for a very long time.
But with all that said, with the lack of tournie players lately it is a little weird to limit the rewards a bit, discouraging to some.

Allow me to explain.
So overall, tournament payout is more rewarding. Fun fact we actually use Ozzys situation to see the balance of rewards we'll be distributing, because we know he'll be Top 10 in PvP at Top 3 in tournament (Mainly 1st). With the rewards we've created tournament performance is overall more rewarding. There will be some outliers (Players that are exceptional at tournaments but new to the game thus not far progressed in PvP, and vice versa, players that are far progressed in PvP but tournaments are not their forté).
Yes PvP gives more Stardust, and we can argue there is certainly value in having Star Dust over other currencies due to the flexibility of it. However, the amount of Prana gained from tournaments is much more notable, in Ozzy's case it's over double. Secondly, the amount of EM rewarded from tournaments is greater than from PvP.
That said, a few things to consider.
PvP is and should be the true reflection of a players performance. I do not doubt or even question that amount of investment you need to place in to maintaining your PvP grid is significantly lower, and it's very much a passive thing many players do, updating their grid perhaps once a week in some cases, however it is the clear overall metric that should be the closest representation of players abilities against one another.
Tournaments require a lot of investment and significant understanding of the game, the multitude of heroes and meta elements of tournaments such as suicide lanes and in T2 case, the runes. That said Tournament doesn't give a true indication of a players ability to manage their currencies, to optimize World Boss hits, to invest in the correct heroes to progress things such as Daily Quest, or further World Boss damage, or even heroes in tournaments. Tournaments in that sense are very much an activity that should be used to progress your standing in the PvP environment. Tournament is important to the PvP environment, because being successful gives rewards that means you can surpass players in the PvP environment, however it's in the same element as World Boss, or Daily Quest. Doing well in those individual things is important to players, and many players put their investments in heroes to succeed at those elements of the game, but they should all utlimately feed in to the PvP and being able to claim bragging rights there.

I demand Bowie.
If there's a Bowie hero, and I'm in a "better" bracket than would get him, I demand you reduce my Tournament score so that I get him.
If Bowie is the Ascended hero, I may actually pay Kreds for it. No promises, since I don't actually have a job right now, but I do have enough money saved to be tempted. Depends on how soon my government gets back to me about my request for lost-my-job monies.

That seems like a risky proposition. What if he blows our minds?

I unfortunately don't have specifics. The gist of it is that we don't like that Tournament 2 is stale and repetitive. The intention is to make each tournament have more variation than just the runes.
I don't know right now the specifics as to whether that will make them completely random heroes and followers, or whether they will follow a set trend like Tournament 1. That said it is our intention to prevent Tournament 2 from "feeling stale".

Sounds good (as far as you can say with such unspecific info). Please also consider to look at (and adjust) reward distribution - it's pretty good for top2 or top3 right now (those who get AS) and way worse for everyone below.

Also rewarsds should be fixed; 20cc is generally much better than 8pg, so that makes no sense.
Maybe have the pg rewards also give (20-Reward) in cc
