My name on the event leaderboard shows as Tank999 even though my settings has me as Grianan. Is there something I am missing? Because of this, my rank jumps all around whenever it updates, showing different lifetime angel counts nowhere close to mine. TIA

First thing to distinguish: Is this on an Apple product or an Android/Windows-based device?
Second thing to distinguish: Kongregate Account is a separate entity from your leaderboard name. Are you absolutely sure you aren't mixing the two up?
I don't have a working android device to check for myself, but leaderboard is based on your Google Play(Androids), or your Game Center(Apple). If on an Apple device, double check in Settings, scroll all the way past Music, TV, Photos&Camera, and you should see Game Center there. You can access the Game Center profile from that tab.
If the profile matches what the My Rank shows in the game Leaderboards, then the issue is in the update or the lack thereof and not with your profile.

Hi and thanks for responding. I am using am android. I have used two different Google play accounts in the past, both with names that I easily recognize and nothing close to Tank999. I wouldn't really care what name is listed if always used my stats. Unfortunately it seems to switch between mine and at least two other sets of stats.

Nearly a month, and several events later and it's still doing the same thing. Any new ideas?

How easily recognizable is it? Or perhaps more specifically, how likely is it that some random person might pick the same exact name ...in Apple's Game Center, since you're using Google Play. I assume each system has its own duplicate-prevention check, but I doubt they check each other's database for duplicates.
That possible duplicate name issue in the other thread makes me think of that possibility.

This is a Spartacus moment, I too am Tank 999 for some reason. Playing on Android, no idea how to change my leader board name, or indeed to have the correct number of angels appear.

I share the same name on the leaderboard. It's not my Google Play name and I didn't assign it anywhere.

Go to your Google Play app/setting. it should be rather easy to find profile/name to change.
Interesting to know multiple people were assigned the same leaderboard name...but what are the real Google Play names?

That's not the issue, my Google Play name appears correctly in other apps, and to avoid doubt it is also my Kongegrate name. For some reason it would appear a batch of us have been assigned the same random user id. I am now not sure if my final ranking is correct. It's not a game breaker, but it does render rankings impotent.

Well, so far it seems like it's affecting only Google Play users from the looks of it. What the other Tank999 users actually have as Google Play names can matter though. Can't rule out something just because it's unlikely.
I would like to know if changing your Google Play name to something else breaks you free from this issue.

Changing the name in Google Play Gaming Profile didn't change anything. Allowing other players to find me via e-mail and see my progress (two security options) also haven't changed something.
