So yeah, I made two new squids for the game. Now, this one's gonna be interesting because, well, these two squids are ones I feel would fit right in with the setting. The first one I'll bring up is... # Nereus  I named the squid "Nereus" after a Greek mythological being known as The Old Man of the Sea. I used a black background to allow people to see the picture better. Given this information, I've determined that the ink Nereus should give out is **Fish Ink**! Yep. Fish Ink. Now then, let's start with the basic info.: Name: Nereus Description: The Old Man of the Sea grants his blessing. Price (Initial): 1e470 Ink Type: Fish Ink Next up, let's go for the skills.: **Level 10:** Doris (named after Nereus' consort): Increases Nereus' black ink production by 100% **Level 25:** Prophecy (he had a prophetic voice): Increses all squid's black ink production by 50% **Level 50:** Shapeshifting Man (Nereus is a shapeshifter): Increases Nereus' colored ink production by 50% **Level 75:** Proteus (Another "old man of the sea," although Nereus is older because he came from Pontus and Gaia): Increases Nereus' black ink production by 120% **Level 100:** Bountiful Sea (Duh!): Increases all squids' colored ink production by 25% Now for the mission skills. I've no idea how to work out a good balance for these, so I'll just provide the names for the mission skills. **Level 10:** Aegean Sea (Nereus' homeland) **Level 25:** Iliad (Though not directly named, he was brought up as Father of the Nereids.) **Level 50:** Odyssey (Literally the sequel to Iliad, even though Nereus doesn't make an appearance here.) **Level 75:** Twelve Labors (Nereus had a role in this story.) **Level 100:** Pontus (Nereus' father and Personification of the Sea.) Lastly, here are the mixed ink recipes that would go along with Nereus: **Salt Ink:** Crystal+Stone Ink **Oceanic Ink:** Salt+Water Ink **Trout Ink:** Fish+Pink+Green Ink **Salmon Ink:** Trout+Oceanic Ink **Grilled Salmon Ink:** Salmon+Fire Ink **Minnow Ink:** Fish+White Ink **Clownfish Ink:** Minnow+Orange+Black+Oceanic Ink **Angelfish Ink:** Minnow+Royal+Oceanic Ink **Mermaid Ink:** Angelfish+Spell Ink I think that'll do for Nereus. Next up, we got the God of Squids... # Cthulu  Yeah, I'm sure y'all seen this one coming. Cthulu has a squid head and is actually a god (at least that's what H.P. Lovecraft kept on telling us). The ink Cthulu will be making is **Divine Ink**! Yep. The ink of gods being made by Cthulu. For the basic info, here's what I think would work. Name: Cthulu Description: The god of all squids makes his appearance known to mankind. Price (Initial): 2.8e530 (prediction) Ink Type: Divine Ink Okay, first comes the skills: **Level 10:** Worship (This happens with every god): Increases Cthulu's Black Ink production by 150% **Level 25:** Divine Intervention (Duh!): Increases all squids' colored ink production by 30% **Level 50:** Retribution (Basically punishment for ticking off gods): Increases Cthulu's colored ink production by 70% **Level 75:** Mythology (Many gods end up turning into this): Increases all squids' black ink production by 50% **Level 100:** Call of Cthulu (The most famous Cthulu novel): Increases Cthulu's Black Ink production by 200% Next comes the mission skills.: **Level 10:** H.P. Lovecraft (the author of the Cthulu Mythos) **Level 25:** Nug and Yeb (Great Old Ones but they're twins) **Level 50:** Nyarlathotep (Messenger of the Outer Gods) **Level 75:** Yog-Sothoth (Second only to Azathoth) **Level 100:** Azathoth (Literally the only thing that can truly be omnipotent; all of existence is but a dream to it.) I responded to the Reddit thread as well but thought I'd post in both places for everyone to see :) This is awesome and really well done art and design! Funnily enough a Cthulu squid has been on my list for a long time! I'm planning to add it but a little later as there are some other squids I want to add first :) I also have a plan to add a mechanic for Cthulu that matches his godliness :p As for Nereus, a shark squid has been on my list for a while that has his inks and ink mixes :p I do quite like Nereus though so maybe he will make it into the game instead!
