Hi everybody. I'm a semi-new player and I just recently unlocked the Rivals tab and beat my first rival, Grand Master Greg. I got a star. What's weird about this is that I was using both the Dual Sword style and the Blitz stance throughout the whole fight and those are the requirements for stars 2 and 3 so shouldn't I have both stars as well? Is something wrong with my game?

I checked your save and it looks like you don't have those skills at the correct level (they need to be at least level 10.) You will need to promote a new master and put points into the Innovation skill. And use your vacant master slots: Most mastery skills stack so you'll make progress much faster that way.

Wow thanks for that reply! I had no clue the master slots were vacant! I thought I still had to unlock them because they were greyed out. Just goes to show what not exploring the UI gets you!

Okay I'm back because I took on Grand Master Greg again this time with both the dual sword styles and Blitz skills at level 10 but when I beat them, I only got the star for the dual sword style even though I was using blitz as well! Is there something else I need to do?

the 3rd star requires the critical skill at level 10 as well. If you read the entire set of requirements it will usually answer all questions. The excepetion is the vauge >50% ones, just treat those as only that stance.
Everything that has a number with the + sign means that skill at that level or higher.

Oh! I'm a dummy lol! I thought the plus 10 meant that I'd GET plus 10 once I beat it...
