Its nice to see Rapier no longer be the only sword worth while, personally, but how does everyone else feel about it?

Instead of Rapier no longer being the only useful sword, basically all equipment is more or less useless. There is a huge gap between equipment with hundreds in level, and no equipments at all. The equipments obtainable from PvE gold basically amount to the "no equipment" state.
That is, once the early few upgrade levels stop mattering, everything sucks.

seems like no weapon will ever be worth it

Rapier is still the only one I use. Weapon damage doesn't matter to me anyway and rapier still offers the best crit
But I guess people who hasn't reached the point where you just grind new masters with level 1 equipment would have a slightly harder time now.

But Im still a newbie, how to play in next days? No gold bonus, no useful items-all items suck, too long to get every star by Disciple.
Plz give me spaceship to go back my planet, here so creepy to me...

Rapier is completely outclassed by short sword in attack speed, especially when dual wielding as the off hand weapon, and they both have the same crit rate outside of Fencing. Additionally claymore does bonus damage when it does crit than any other weapon.

Changes to rapier broke the game, in my opinion.
Also, the +25% damage on crits with claymore doesn't negate the fact that you won't score very many crits by using it. Enemy HP scales so heavily that you are facing people with billions of HP before you can reach 50 million yourself.
The only viable mechanic that allowed people to stand a chance was rapier's crit and that has been nerfed. Going in the wrong direction.

You are right, I did not notice that short swords has the same crit rate as Rapiers now. Will make the switch

No gold bonus
In fact offline earnings are much better than online, you could use this. Just consider: offline earnings depend on 5 best fights and you receive them without "conditions". When the hero fights online, he can miss or lose - this means lower income. Offline income is better, especially if you take relevant masteries.

Yeah the health scaling of the enemies is absurd, you can have a easy time killing them then you go 4 or 5 lvls higher and you get destroyed and now with the rapier nerf, well it will take longer and make the higher lvl enemy near impossible, while i get idle games are meant to take a long time but come on now this is absurd.
Most idle Games dont take this long to get further and the developer even made it longer, most idle games add mechanics that made it easier to progress farther than the last time like idle wizard, once you get far enough, you will get challenges that can give you buffs that allows you to further progress but on this game, they dont add ways to advance further without taking a lifetime but they made it even longer.

Instead of nerfing Rapier, all other weapons should have been buffed. I know that they were indeed de-nerfed a bit, but still not to a level where they become viable. The problem with the nerfed rapier is that currently there are _no_ viable weapons left. I really don't know how to proceed. The rivals in the remaining challenges keep handing my ass to me no matter what I do.

Bad. The changes are all around nerfs that make equipment even more useless past level 100 than it was. Made extraorindarily worse with the removal of the sale profit bonuses that allowed you to actually upgrade the equipment enough to make them worth caring about in the slightest. The gold you get from enemies is far too minor to keep up with our upgrade needs for dealing with the power creep up the levels.
And the 'unique bonuses' on the swords are beyond worthless.

I thought to dual wield Claymore Shortsword. Net gain of 1% attack speed and still net bonuses all around, and the crit appears to apply to the short sword. 44% crit rate with 25% crit damage seems to work for me. I am fine with the buy and sell mechanic being removed as that means people will need to use gold masteries. I disliked the offline masteries as they are strictly better than everything else as one just needs to go reload the game after 10 minutes to gain 15 levels in the time you have gained 1 normally sort of thing.

I tried going for a power build. But the outcome was pathetic. Went with two handed/power/barrage build with a Claymore. Yeah when I hit it was almost always 1-2 hits and done, but I was able to land a hit once every 20 swings or so, not to mention my attack speed was abysmal. And that was with a character level 150 on enemies level 110-120. All relevant skills 10/15+. Switching to Rapier didn't help much.
I don't care what build you use or what equipment you choose, if you have 30-40 levels of advantage over the enemy, it should NEVER be a question if you can win, but in this game it is.
So I went back to dual weapons and my weapon of choice is short sword. I am basically using the base equipment. Cause armors suck massive dongs.

The armor its almost wortless. You must improve it making it relevant. Boost it´s defense values and atack speed. remember the most basic thing abaut armorsiting it´s that they are maked to fit the user.
The basic one its te beter one on the long term but in real life the reinfoced cloth armor its stuffed so it makes the user slower.
The leather armor weigth arround 10~15 pounds light, durable and flexible improve also atack speed beacuse its very hig mobility.
The chainmail its a mid eavy weigth armor arrond 30~40 pounds or more in specific cases. It relents the user atacks but also brings more power to the blows beacuse the aplication of the weigth in it. the weight of the armor it´s on the shoulders.
The full plated armor it´s in basic meanigs the jewel of the crown. The eaviest armor with a weigt arround 40~60 pounds its a masterwork of armorsmithing. its fully made to tailor the user requeriments. Limits the movemetn far leseer that the chaimail beacuse the weigt its distributed in the body. its movement speed its sigtly lesser than the clot armor beacuse of that. Also improves atack power beacuse the weigth.
The cuiras its a good option to increase your armor options. A midle weigth armor with arround 25~40 pounds whit hig mobility on the legs and arms provides a solid defense on the chest, usable with a sallet class helmet.
