Ya thats right. Critical is straight out overpowered right now, giving the win against opponents you shouldnt be able to win against.
Change crits to:
Crits deal extra damage of 1/5 of your opponent's health, but no more than 10x of your average weapon damage

Holy what lvl are you on?
I have 8M dmg and my enemy have 1.6 T HP. Tell me pls how Im supposed to progress without crit?
Im lvl 341 and my enemies are 348 and still, Im winning like one fight on 50 so I progress slower than a snail.
Everything is one shooting me so I have to pray to RNGnesus to give me knights and Palladins coz I can win only against them and even then I have to pray for him not to make a counter or at least attack me. Brigands just straightly kill me with one blow, Rogues do the same.

According to Noly the dev stated the massive scaling is an intentional soft cap, so you're actually supposed to put this game down and do something else until more content comes out I guess.

This is obviously a troll post. There is no way crit allows you to beat people you "shouldn't be able to win against." Opponents 25 levels lower than you shouldn't have 1000 times as much HP as you and crit, as others have stated, is the only way you have a hope in hell of progressing.

You forget the possibility that you are not supposed to advance further... at that stage, beyond a certain training level... for now

With the attack chance as the other coft cap, I think it is still safe to leave crit as it is.
As soon as the attack chance lowered to a point, you are not likely to advance at all anyways.

with the claymores taking even more health with their crits, it's even worse now

Rather than nerf the crit, the player's attack power needs to be buffed/enemy attack power needs to be nerfed. Any point past lvl 150, and you deal miniscule damage to your opponents when they can take you out in 1-3 hits. As it stands, the game would be unplayable without crit being what it is.

And rather than being a soft cap, the comment I read from dev just stated that the scaling gets pretty out of whack in the higher levels cuz he honestly didn't expect people to keep playing after beating the rivals. Hopefully that gets fixed with the new content he says he's releasing.

First of all, all ppl who u see in leaderboards at lvl 400+ are cheaters, u can get to 350-370 as a legit player now, u can only do it if u put skills/masteries in right place, got dualwield build that takes advantage of crit mechanics.
Now about softcap- my highest master is lvl 350 so i feel i can tell newer players lots about it, from lvl 180 enemies change scaling- they hit for more, have higher att/hit/def and got more health on top of that, it gets ofc progresivly harder the higher lvl u reach with enemies at lvl 340+ not only 1hitting u but also having 2500-3800 att/hit/def so chance to progress is extremly small( mostl fights end after first hit of enemy, and they have high chance to attack/hit u).
Lets wait few more days, dev said we gonna get new content this week, lets see what we got and evaluate from there =]
