^ Weld an invisible and ghost Elemental Sword inside.

metadata
Time to bump dis thread for newbies again:
**TRIGGERING**
If you want something to activate, eg. guns, rockets use either a trigger item or click the trigger button on the hotbar key (its in the one that shows a picture of the pointer) and click it, it looks like an on switch.
Hotkey: F
**RAGDOLL TRIGGERING**
There are two parts on a ragdoll that can be triggered, the head and the hands. When these are triggered, the head shows a thin white line protruding from the top side and the arms show a thin white line on the down side. These lines are sort of like a weld. However, they stick to items when the line is touched unlike welding in which you have to click both objects and attach. This item that is touched will be ‘welded’ to the ragdoll. The only way to separate the item from the body part is by triggering it again.
**CONCLUSION**
Well, I think I did a horrible job on explaining, someone is bound to improve it, but there it is, I just needed something to accompany the bump but for now there it is.

Is there a different way how to backup custom items without sharing them? I won’t do the normal method ( go to appdata or something and copy some things or something) because i think the files are hidden and going to hidden things is extremely too spooky for me to handle ( and other computer-related things that aren’t going to the internet and stuff are too spooky for me too). btw i have a ton of custom items so i would be quite angry if i would lose everything

The two methods you listed are it. Either [back up the file](http://www.kongregate.com/forums/9794/topics/521014) or share everything via Kong to effectively store them there.
If you don’t want to share something publicly, you can share it but untick the Public box in Kong’s UI, but remember to save the link manually in a text file or something afterwards. Kong API doesn’t provide access to private user content, so there’s no way of finding them if you don’t save the link yourself.

**COMBINING SIGNALS, LOGIC GATES**
If you want to design a device, automated or not, with several moving parts which have to move in certain order under certain conditions, you need to befriend triggers, tripwires, buttons, timers. Here I’ll cover the basic logic using physical signal relay:

It’s made out of a button, long beam pinned on one and and conduit-in. This is also first logic function covered here: **negation**.It changes a high state ( working conduit-in) into a low state ( beam gets dragged from the button, which in result outputs no signal) and vice versa. The time of beam falling will result in delay of setting high state. Setting low state shouldn’t result in any delay, since beam is picked up from button pretty quick.
Next function is **disjunction** , realised by **OR GATE** :

It outputs high state if it get’s high state on any of it’s inputs, so it will output low state only when both input signals are low.
**Conjunction** , realised by **AND GATE** :

This gate will output high state only when it gets high states on both inputs.
**Exclusive disjunction** , realised by **XOR GATE** :

This gate can be broken down into basic gates mentioned before. It basically takes _negated conjuntion_ of both signals, then it takes _disjunction_ of the same signals, and then it makes a _conjunction_ out those two.
I hope these basics will inspire you to explore this topic more. To learn how to minimalize logic functions so it will took
less parts in-game giving same result, google **De Morgan’s Laws** and **Karnaugh map**.

# Quick Tutorial on Revolute Joints
* * *
_ **Step One:** _
Get your stuff ready.
Here we have a Void Staff with two “orbs”, just for example.
We shall now be linking them together with the Revolute joint. Highlighted in the red circle.

* * *
_ **Step Two:** _
Click on the Revolute Joint button and link your items together like you would with any joint.

* * *
_ **Step Three:** _
You must now set the point where the items you linked would revolve around.
In this example, I set the orbit center on the Staff’s head.

* * *
_ **FINAL STEP** _
…You’re pretty much done here, actually…

**_But, wait!_**
**A tip:**
If you wish to have the orbs rotate around the staff by themselves, you must use the
Motor function as shown in the image above. You just set the speed (and force) to a number above zero after you check the “Motor” box.
_You can optionally set Break to 0 but I noticed no difference, really._
* * *
_Hope this quick tutorial helped!_

^ It’s a possibility, but the only people who get in the HC are the ones who actually post in the Roleplay section. Besides, there’s a LONG list of people that would make it in before him.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THAT GLASS
I was really confused by revolute joints and had no idea how to make orbs orbit around the staff either…

^ I detect overloading amounts of sarcasm in the above posts.
So, let me just clear it all by saying…
That was meant to be for those who have no idea how Revolute Joints actually work.
_(And for one, Para, I believe you **do** know how it works…)_
This is the Tips, Hints and other stuff section after all…
_Also, that was moved from a different thread to this one since it seemed more at home over here…_

Thanks for the post, man. Really helped me out.

Since Glass raised Revolute Joint Subject, I think it’s also worth to explain angle limits.
# Revolute Joints’s Angle Limits.
It may not be clear to someone who never used angle limits how are they oriented in relation to joint parts, on which side lower angle and upper angle will be. It depends on the order you joint the parts:

Both of these hinges were created with same lower and upper angles, but in different order. Generally speaking, if you extend the revolute joint arm of first clicked item, it creates an axis on right side of which is upper angle and lower angle on the left side.

a shitty tip
23.2.2018 Edit: I said here that you should put 1 weight on doll details. **Do not do this, this is a very bad idea.** It makes the doll really hard to be dragged around. I posted this back when I was a skrub

_No, I actually was really confused by those. I use them occasionally, but it often took many tries to get them to actually work the way the were supposed to._
_I think I’m beginning to understand though._

Never do that? I always do it and it always works. Explain why that is so horrible that i offended every living being on this planet. So ghost objects should have 10000 weight? Well, i’m sure that would work well.

1 makes them able to be moved, but they won’t interrupt the movement of the doll. **0** makes them stand still.
Or did you actually have a reason for not doing 1 besides mistaking 1 for 0?
_You’re the one giving wrong information to others_
_Get out of here_
