Since I like defeating bosses, I decided to share some dirty tricks for beating them. The exceptional gear guarded by the sub bosses in the ruins can be extremely useful for the final bossfight against the dragons.
Twin Spectres:
They can be quite annoying as you can't see them at first and your character just runs away once they are next to you. Sneaking to the weapon isn't really a good idea either since sneaking next to a spectre will just cause your character to run away. However, note that flame scrolls are extremely useful here as you can just light a flame under a spectre if you know where it is and the spectre will become completely useless.
Before the fight, I always ensure that I have enough flame scrolls (I usually use up 4-5 of them here). If you are lucky, you might get the following monsters together with the twin spectres: gas spores, firebugs, wraiths or ghosts. The advantage here is that you can engage the room by lighting fires strategically, killing these monsters very quickly (gas spores explode when next to a fire, firebugs burst into flames when next to a fire, ghosts dematerialize when a fire is lit underneath them and wraiths have their stats reduced next to a fire) while potentially exposing the location of a spectre. When fighting the twin spectres, I usually take down all other monsters in the room prior to engaging the spectres. As soon as one of them appears, I will light a flame under it if there are still other monsters in the room to stop it from attacking me. Else, I will just attack the spectre. Killing the spectres is optional to get to the weapon; you can actually just kill everything else in the room, light fires under the spectres and then run towards the weapon.
Lich Queen:
In my opinion, the Lich Queen is the easiest of the three bosses available at this moment and hence is usually the one I go for first. Note that the Lich Queen is just an immobile mage and is nearly useless in close range combat. I often find leap scrolls very useful in the fight against the Lich Queen as they let you come close to the Lich Queen really quickly. An aggressive tactic I like to use is to use a leap scroll to jump straight into a cluster of monsters and then using guard when the Lich Queen is preparing a fireball so that the fireball just clears out a lot of the monsters at once; especially useful if the other monsters in the room are more defensive ones like mummies, that lower your attacking chances or gargoyles who just have ridiculous defense.
Mummy King:
I personally find the Mummy King the hardest of the three subbosses available, since his deep despair just lowers your stats so much that it's nearly impossible to even scratch the other monsters in the room, especially if they have high defense or they are other mummies that lower your stats even more. A good idea would be to defeat the other bosses in the ruins and looting their exceptional gear first before engaging the Mummy King so that you still have a fighting chance as your stats will still be good enough for the fight. I prefer to keep a distance from the Mummy King and kill him with a bow rather than engaging in close range combat; usually with the help of flame scrolls or any pits in the room.
A strategy I thought up of but never tried against the Mummy King would be to lure the monsters around the room towards you and then rushing towards the exceptional gear with the help of scrolls. I think that this is particularly useful if you have a good shield that lets you tank attacks.
However, I tend to avoid fighting the Mummy King just because of how hard he is, often wasting scrolls and potions that ought to be reserved for fighting the dragons.
Dragons:
Finally, the true bosses of the dungeon! If you still have a lot of flame scrolls and the room is generated with a lot of pits, a really dirty trick that you can play against the dragons is to trap them in a corner of the room surrounded by pits and fire and then shooting them with your bow. (Despite the introductory screen always showing the dragons flying around destroying the village, in the bossfight, the dragons seem to be too stupid to fly over the pits.)
One may think of using vanish scrolls to sneak around the room and loot everything before engaging the dragons. For me, I do so to gain a few extra scrolls for tactics and potions in case I run out of scrolls and need to stall the dragons. However, I leave the equipment in the dragon lair untouched since I normally defeat all other bosses in the ruins and looted the exceptional gear before entering the dragon lair.
Moral of the story:
Save up your scrolls for boss fights to create tactical advantages. Especially flame scrolls; they seem a bit overpowered in a lot of boss fights (and they are the only direct way to kill slimes in the tunnels)
That's all from me. Feel free to share any tips/tricks/tactics that you use for fighting the bosses in Dungeoneers. Happy Dungeoneering!

the dragons are the easiest boss to loot: even before entering the ruins, if you have a scroll of vanish then enter the dragons lair right away, use vanish if there is a clear path towrds the golden chest and loot it. now you have one ruin obss you can leave alone if its tough or have a better pievce of equipment to use against it if its not

Oh right, you do get 100% sneak chance if you use a scroll of vanish don't you? That saves a bossfight down at the ruins.

The real dirty trick (for the sub-bosses at least) is to leap about and get the reaper to do the job for you!

That's so slick! Too bad you can't get the reaper to slay dragons for you though.

One trick I'm not sure people are aware of:
- you can use Vanish scrolls mid-battle to enter stealth for that +3 sneak attack modifier, to get into better position or to escape unfavourable odds.
- When fighting, remember you can use Leap scroll combined with Haste scroll to move 3 tiles without enemy having a turn.
- Spamming Haste scrolls when fighting dragons allows you to launch twice as many attacks.
- Flame scrolls are very usefull for blocking the enemies backs and giving you press bonus.

once you got a lelev 8 dwarf, you can (as an action) summon a pit worm and let it do the fighting for you, (or at least keep enemies busy). it can be very usefull in the mummy king room or when its right next to the lich queen
