Curious what people think of the mithril vest.
Right now it's in a random dragon lair room. Should it instead always be in the first room of the lair? Or the opposite - always at the outermost lair room? Or should it be in the ruins instead of the lair?

I don't know if this makes sense, but it should be at the opposite end of the lair from the golden chest.

Its more interesting when its in the first room, because the player can risk taking it very early.

I think a random lair room is a coherent placement. You could consider to always split it from the golden chest (if possible), but I think this can be just random too.

What about putting it in the Ruins?

The Ruins are an option ofc, but personally I think there is enough going on already.

I prefer it in dragon lair.

Okay, we decided to leave the mithril placement as is, but as you'll see with the latest update, we now allow scroll use while in stealth, which will make it easier human and dwarf to get to far off mithril because of the option to use a scroll for a sneaky leap.
And the mithril was indeed overpowered, so we reduced the protection from 25% to 20%, and further reduced the number of health potions in the game.
Curious what you think about the new sneak system.

> Nice! The sneaking behavior in rooms with only slime left is a bit weird though: I clear out a tunnel room and leave 1 slime, leave and return to it from the entrance, and then any move gets me "spotted" and slimes get to move (which is how it's always been, but the sneak meter should probably show 0% then), but they don't seem to turn towards me and the spotted text doesn't appear when guarding.
In case anybody is wondering: using a haste scroll when reentering a room with only slimes left will make you sucessfully sneak on the first turn of haste, and then get spotted on the second turn.
(I'm still considering doing an easier run so I can test the edge cases, like whether mithril works against slimes and reapers)

Yes, there seem to be some strange interactions with slimes. Before the last update the slimes moved once when I made a sneak attack with the Elf before the attack was resolved. Now they don't move at all the turn the Elf gets spotted. I also made a sneak leap attack with the Elf by using a leap scroll during stealth, but I'm not sure this still happens.
Regarding the recent changes I like them. The sneaky scroll usage puts the movability of the characters more on par. 20% for Mithril is still very strong, it's a powerful item. I didn't check all the numbers: Is the number of health potions now fixed (apart from the lair as it depends of the number of rooms)?
