Benny89: Think of this as saving you the processing of having to keep track of what every set should have. It might not save clicks, but it will save you the time of having to open a document that you have the sets saved in or having to manually build the sets. Reassigning energy/magic isn't that big of a deal.

> Auto activations for yggdrasil: A new Spend EXP menu tab for yggdrasil will have these. To buy one, you need at a total energy or magic at least 10x what the activation cost is. So for example, fruit of gold has a 100K energy activation, so you'll need a minimum 1M energy cap to buy. After that, it's just a simple pay EXP=> you bought it type thing. If bought, the fruit will automatically activate, and without consuming the activation cost anymore! Convenience but saving you some energy you can allocate elsewhere!

Can you give us a range of xp that will be required for the Auto-activations, so that we can have an idea how much to save up for this please.
Thanks in advance,

You totally did it, and it's great!
The Ygg restarts are amazing. Now let me buy autoharvest/autoeat checkboxes. I'll buy them with AP! AP that I buy with Kreds!
(And a place where I can enable using poop for (autoharvesting/autoeating) certain fruits but not others. KTHXBYE.)

Sorry no can do. I can take automation of something like yggdrasil 90% of the way, but from a game design perspective it's important for you to do at least one part of the growth cycle manually to keep you ocming back. So, that'll be the harvest. Now having said that, i could see adding a "consume all button" that will consume every fruit at max tier according to a "eat or harvest this fruit" setting.
On another note, I've begn work on.... BEARDS! A couple early graphics have been tossed aroudn on some of the chatrooms and I've got a decent portion of the coding done. I should soon be able to hook the whole thing up and see where i made horrible, horrible bugs. A tl;dr on the beard mechanics for those who are going " wtf is a beard":
Beards of Power will be a feature unlocked by defeating UUG which will increase your power in various ways and come in a variety of stupid/funny styles. Each beard will have a big diagram explaining the features of this particular style. To start, you'll have one beard you can keep active at a time. With some combination of EXP, challenges, and AP you'll unlock the ability to have more beards active at once. If active, and you've hit your Energy or Magic cap (depending on what the beard uses), your Energy/Magic generated from bars will "overflow" into your active beard(s) and help level them up. As the beard gains levels it'll grow more powerful, and increase the bonuses it provides for this run. If you have multiple beards active, all of their current run bonuses will be active at once. You'll be able to swap beards at any time. Each beard will have a different aspect of the game its bonuses will affect. One beard may improve your raw Attack/Defense, another may improve your NGU output, or your NUMBER.
On top of the active bonus, when you rebirth, whatever beards are active will be trimmed and the shavings collected to grow a permanent bonus. This is a function involving the Sqrt of the beard level and the length of the run. If your run is below 1 hour, you'll gain no shavings. After 1 hour, there is a linear multiplier to the shavings collected that caps at 24 hours. This will stack with the active bonus each beard provides, and will also provide the bonus even if inactive. Long story short, 1 hour minimum to gain any permanent bonuses, 24-hour runs for optimal grinding of perma bonuses.
As always, feel free to ask questions like " wtf are you smoking to think of these stupid game mechanics".

Are troll challenges and cube being worked on, or on the back burner if you dont mind me asking? I rather like the concept of troll challenges. Each one being unique and not having to do it too many times.

on the back burner until I get beards in. it will absolutely happen, but since may is 1/4 gone i figure i gotta get my ass in gear to finish beards in the month i promised.

Why are you letting beards be swapped at any time? You can't swap a beard, need to shave it! Have you thought about allowing only one beard style per run? Or maybe changing beards mid-run triggers the shave like a rebirth does and the new beard type starts fresh.
Edit, Forget what I said above, the way you have it now is great!

How's the troll challenge going? Could we expect it coming out in the first half of June?

It'll probably be what I work on following .385 (which is a other batch of QOL, bugfixes, and something for hardcore players to grind towards)

Dunno if this is relevant here but a slight changes could be made to the exp menu that could improve it.
Adding or changing it so that you can select a number of for example energy power to purchase, for example 15.7, or a button that let's you buy as much of something as possible.
For example i have 2355 exp and buy energy power giving me a total of 15.7 energy power using one purchase.
For comparison if I used the current system i'd have to buy 10 for 1500 , then use the 1 energy power option five times, then the 0.1 option seven times for a total of 8 different purchases.

Just a quick update, the troll Challenge is indeed my focus for .388, and the challenge brings rewards for a lot of other features including:
-extending max tier of fruits from 10 to 24
- An extra accessory slot!
- A new fruit: The Fruit of Numbers. This will raise your number is a similar fashion to the power fruit beta. Costs 10M Magic to activate
- A new beard: The Golden Beard. I bet it's hard to guess what it does.
- An extra beard slot!
- 3x Speed bonus to Magic NGU's.
- A new Blood Magic ritual, to use that boost in gold production.
Plus I (well, tried to) improve optimization in the inventory menu. It's debatable if what I changed improved anything tbh.

So what's next? I am eager to know.

Up next is an item daycare and the Laser Sword challenge!
Itme daycare: It's pretty simple, you open up a tab which will overlap the equipment part of the inventory menu, and there will be slots to place items from your inventory. Any item placed in here will slowly gain levels (even while offline!). Earlier-gamesets can gain as much as a level every hour or 2, while gear that's more end-game currently may take 6/8/12/24 hours, depending on the rarity. Literally anything can be placed in here, including boosts if you're into that. Hovering over the slot will show the time until you receive the next levelup, and there's a bar to also show this progress. If you take an item out partway through a levelup, it'll round down the nearest completed level. Any item that's part of a loadout and is placed in the item daycare gets ignored when you try to load that loadout, but pulling it back out of the daycare makes it resume normal function.
As for the Laser Sword Challenge, once you make a 1/1 Laser sword augmentation you'll unlock this challenge. You simply need to make a x/x laser sword, without having your number or anything. IT's like a normal rebirth. X in this case is equal to the number of compelted challenges +2, meaning the first challenge is to make a 2/2 laser sword, then 3/3, etc.

I like Laser sword challenge already, true test of power! Time to level up golden beard now also :D

What's on the list for version .391? I hope there's a way to speed up Item Daycare, from my assessment it's pretty dang near useless for late-game players given the length of time between item lvl-ups. :(
Maybe there's a Daycare NGU in the works?
|
|
|
metadata
There is, somewhat!. The two big things on the list for .391 is a new challenge (again!) and wandoos XL.
Wandoos XL is to MEH as MEH was to 98. You'll find drops of it starting in mega lands very rarely, and walderp will also have a drop. You can also gain up to another *100* OS levels, by consuming the wandoos XL item much the same way you did with wandoos 98. So, the max possible OS level is now 220.
The new challenge is... the Blind Challenge! It's pretty straightforward, and nothing is restricted. The challenge is that most of the text is blanked out, leaving you to memorize and do some mental math to figure out what's going on. There's 10 completions total, and each completion will lock away more and more visual information, like from augments, time machine, blood magic, even the rebirth menu's stats! This will reward you with improved daycare speed, starting with a 5% bonus on the first completion and 1% for every completion, giving a maximum bonus of 15%. Final completion will also unlock a bonus daycare slot. The boss target starts at 58 and goes up by 10 each completion, so it'll be hard to bust them out all at once.
I'm also adding a 125K AP upgrade to get a further 10% (multiplicitive, which in this case not as good as additive)) reduction.
There's also a few QOL things like showing the objective for each challenge on the rebirth button's tooltip, and the titan timers on the adventure menu button. I also added 2 more achievements!

|
|
metadata
In time machine you can add string with spending money (by blood rituals) and update gold multiplier like "37+16" where 37 from magic time machine upgrade and 16 from energy bonus.
Also, will be some upgrade which decreasing titan rebirth time? Or it exist already?
|
|
|
metadata
The No Rebirth challenge actually does that, -3 minutes per completion, 40 completion max, smallest timer is 1h

Just a heads up about what will come to NGU in the next few weeks. I'm working on a small QOL/bugfix/typo patch for this weekend, and then I'm taking a week off to veg out and watch Summer Games Done Quick 2018! This means there may be a 10-15 day lull without an update.
I highly encourage you guys to check out SGDQ over at https://www.twitch.tv/gamesdonequick. It starts this Sunday, and it's a week long 24/7 charity speedrunning event if you're into that. You can watch all your favourite games get destroyed by all-powerful nerds. And did I mention the charity part? Charity is cool.
There might be a similar week or so gap in updates around July 14th, when I'm moving! :D
Thanks again for all the support, guys!
