I just had a thought, and I'm wondering if it makes sense,,,
Before I started Sadistic mode, I was getting one or two Digger levels per 24-hour rebirth. I haven't progressed far enough in Sadistic to get anywhere near a digger level-up. Does it make sense to go back to Evil mode for a rebirth or two to get some more digger levels?
Every couple of weeks, I activate a McGuffin Muffin and do a bunch of 30 minute rebirths. The day before I do that sounds like a perfect time to go back and rack up a couple of Digger boosts. Or maybe the next time I plan to start a new challenge and my number will be reset to 0 anyway.
Is it worth it, or should I not bother? What do people think?

revisit EVIL to finish off the challenges (the ones that actually give you something)

I've already finished all challenges in Evil mode.

If you've done all challenges you're probably good.
Total digger levels don't have a major impact on diggers (AFAIK), so I'd say there's no reason to clear your banks & return to Evil for them.

The impact of total digger level is pretty low and just adding a couple levels a day barely makes a difference at all unless you can use those levels, especially when you have reached sadistic and have over 100 levels even in the last diggers.
You lose so much from being in evil instead of sadistic like sadistic perks/quirks/wishes/NGUs (and their effects is a much higher PP per kill among other things).
As a result if you want to go back to evil difficulty you need to do so either for challenges or for a bonus that can somehow make up for the PP and exp you didn't earn.
As far as I know there are no bonuses that you can quickly raise in evil but not in sadistic that would make up for the loss (iron pills are pretty weak at that point relatively speaking and diggers mostly affect you with their active level instead of the total).
And the more you get things from sadistic, the worse evil becomes in comparison, especially since the losses in features like time machine are nowhere near as bad as when jumping to evil from normal.

Thanks for the feedback, all.
I think the next time I plan on doing a Sadistic challenge (i.e., when I'll be resetting my number back to 0 anyway), I'll pop back to Evil for one rebirth to rack up a couple of Digger levels to see what the actual differential is. Worst comes to worst, I'll only have wasted 24 hours.

The most painful part of doing challenges and/or changing difficulty at that point is that you have to rebuild your bank with either a 2 or 4 days rebirth (depending on if you only have the perks or also the quirks) if you don't want it holding you back for a good two weeks of slow increase.

True, but at some point 4g will add rewards to some or all of the challenges that don't yet have them. During my last Mcguffin Muffin sprint, I did a bunch of Sadistic challenges (all of Basic, 100-Level, No Rebirth and 6 out of the 10 24-Hour challenges). So when the rewards get added, I'll have to reset anyway.
