Guilded General is not an attacking card, so when the enemy kills it the countess's ability should activate. It has not been activating consistantly, last game I played it was killed 3 (by normal attacks) times and the ability only activated for it one time.

Was Gilded General dying to allies or hero derived attacks? Aline does not trigger against attacks from allies, eg ballista, brute, war rat, militia, veil warden, whatever all, only from hero attacks eg skulls, magic, most cards that say 'hero attacks' and most cards that attack without staying on the field in general.
