Description
Sail the high seas, buying and selling goods in this 18th century merchant simulator.
---
*Game Objective*
Make as many gold coins as you can by buying and selling goods before time runs out.
*Background*
In the 18th century, the South China Sea bustled with activity as maritime trade flourished between Europe and the Far East. Merchants ships carried luxury goods such as tea, silk and porcelain from Asia to the West. In return, the Asian goods were exchanged for silver, medicine and all manner of Western contraptions such as clocks, watches and cartography instruments.
Alas, such endeavors were not without considerable risk. Following the shipwrecking of their mother vessel, your crew must start anew in the distant lands of the Orient. Undeterred and no less determined, your crew has mustered what little gold they could to purchase a small ship in one last attempt to recoup their losses. After all, fortune favors the bold in the age of merchant empires.

Would be nice if there was a guide price, or at least a record of how much we bought things for, would save me writing everything down!
Great idea, thanks for the feedback!

The day timer ticks up while you're reading the introduction and viewing controls. And there's no option to restart the game except by reloading the page.
Thanks for commenting, I'll keep that in mind.

This trading mechanism makes a good basis for a game, but you haven't added in any challenges to make it interesting or fun. No plot, no pirates or other fighting, no town encounters, no weather, no set goal, no nothing.

This game has good potential, but now it lacks features. You just sail here and there and buy/sell things. Without some kind of missions/property manaement/marine combat it become boring after 5 minutes of play.
Also buying/selling is awkward. Most time I want to buy/sell max, but I click buy->max->confirm to do the simple thing.
