Description
Play as an individual gun who doesn't need people to control its life.
The game was originally made in *two days* for GMTKJam 2020. The theme of the jam was "Out of Control", hence the very graceful movement scheme.
Like the game? Let me know by leaving useful feedback and I might expand it into a full one.
Don't like the game? Learn to shoot better.
----
Move and "open" doors with [Left Mouse] or [Spacebar].
Stuck? Press [N] to nudge yourself free.
How to Play
Shoot with [Left Mouse] or [Spacebar].
Shooting makes you move gracefully using recoil (remember: short bursts!),
shoot doors to gently "open" them, and
shoot targets at the end of the level to progress.
Stuck? Press [Right Mouse] or [N] to nudge yourself free. It has a cooldown, as it's not a movement mechanic, but an emergency one.
Developer Updates
- Further improved main menu UI
- Gun now spews temporary casings all over the place when shooting.
- Modified various object weights so theyโre less likely to trap you.
- Modified level targets to be easier to shoot (1-2 shots instead of 3-4)

I've added a start menu so the intro doesn't start immediately, and you can now press [N] to nudge yourself forward in cases where recoil alone isn't enough.
You can also mute the game via the button in the main menu.

Once you get stuck, there's nothing you can do.
You can now press [N] to nudge yourself forward in cases where recoil alone isn't enough. Keep in mind that it's purely an emergency mechanic, as the gun is already outfitted with Magic Recoil Technology that literally makes it engage anti-gravity if you shoot long enough, which is generally enough to dislodge yourself.

This was ridiculous and for some reason I loved it. At one point in the office level I was nearly at the end but messed up so bad I ended up all the way back at the entrance and I nearly threw my laptop, so good job, I think. Still finished the game and I feel way prouder than I really should be lmao

Needs to be a way to reset a level if needed - I somehow managed to get stuck in a way that neither recoil [N]udging could help.
I'm implementing a heat system that'll melt things around the gun that should pretty much guarantee being able to unstuck yourself (at the cost of having to spend a while melting your way through, say, a sofa.) Level restart is also planned for when there are more levels.

Guns need people to develop games about them. Please do more!
