The title screen clearly shows "Fixation" is a pack of cigarettes. I'm pretty sure she represents his smoking habit. Once his depression lifts, once he makes it through the meadows, he is able to quit. Exactly like the doctor suggested. At the end he says he's taking the path home, implicitly without her. She blows one final puff and she's gone.

I don't think ANY game has given me the shivers I got from the ending in this. I just kinda sat there staring at my screen trying to comprehend everything. It really hit home, especially since I've played The Company of Myself. 5/5, great writing, great game play (yes it was challenging at times but that is why its fun), I appreciated the short little cut scene art clips as well.

This is the first game that I ever shouted "Oh just get to the part where he kills me already!" while playing. It's almost like this game was DESIGNED to infuriate everyone that plays it, like the ones they make people play right before they test their reactions to stress. Am I being tested right now? Eh, whatever. 1/5 jackass.

just beaten 21 level with some random smoke shots... i liked that game so far, but now it started to really annoy me...

needs a button to skip all text or should not repeat the text when you die. Text should always repeat if you restart the level.

I really liked Jack in the first game. He was the unfortunate protagonist that lost his lover to his own psychosis. In this game, however, we find out that he's just some drug-addicted guy that Kathryn met in a sewer. He kills her and doesn't even care. And his smile at the end? Absolutely chilling...

My game is stuck on a cirgarette loading screen, I have already played it but had not beaten it yet and when I went back to the game after closing expolorer it will not load, it just stays on the cirgarette

You should just leave the damn smoke ring bar up all the time, kinda hard for those of us with a crippled hand to get it done right. Or just make it a damn double click of the mouse. That is keeping this from being really good. Just tests in frustration.

Wow the conversations are long and annoying and completely distracting me from the real gameplay... I cant believe there is no "skip conversations" option...

The text appearing/scrolling right or up is a terrible way to have it - makes it very difficult to read while it's appearing. Text should always be fixed once it's appeared, if more text appears the text which is already in place should not move.

The game is very, very beautiful, and very nice done. The damn smoke-rings are just so damned hard to blow reliably! Damnit!

Anyone notice that in "The Meadows" levels, all the lasers no longer harm Kathryn anymore. So, at that point she must have shook off all the sadness and stress :)

This game is done beautifully. The music that accompanies each level is superb and the dialogue flows really well and doesn't detract from the game play at all. Adds a whole new dimension instead of just a little platform to platform level structure. 5/5!
Of course, the sheer fact that you included a reference to Ludlul bēl nēmeqi (Shubshi-meshre-Shakkan) get's you a 5/5 ha ha! =)

Rather disappointing because it doesn't add any new information to the original story and in comparison this one seems insignificant - this effect is enhanced by long dialogues and a focus on the wrong elements of the story (TheSphinx)
