To get past the pit on the last level, just keep jumping into the pit and hitting the space bar. As you send more and more shadows into the pit, you'll eventually be able to jump across on their heads.

I was always alone. Noone to talk to just my shadows. One day i realized i can make my shadows immitate me. One day i was taking a walk. I walked around but then i fell down in a whole. I fell down into what look likes a maze. I knew i needed to get through it to get out, and i needed my shadows. Along the way, i met a girl. A girl named Kathryn. The same thing happend to her to. I think i fell inlove with her, but i couldn't tell her. I just felt so happy with her. But then, we needed someone to pull the pink switch to get to the finish she offered to do it, i pulled the switch. I heard her scream, I ran over there and she was gone. Why did i pull the switch? i felt like i would never be happy again. Then there was a long cliff far away from the finish. i walked backwards, turned around, and i ran and jump. But fell down the cliff. i saw a blur of Kathryn, then I woke up. I went for a walk and i fell down a whole and arrived at the maze!

Wow! I am shocked! That's so good! That makes total sense, even if the story is not particulary encouraging. But, WOW, that's fantastic.

The story was so sad but i just couldnt stop re-reading it. The music kept me to the game. I can relate to this, somewhat, which makes it why i cant stop re-playing this. 5/5 Great game. Never played something like this before. ^__^

This game is a beautiful combination of puzzling, platforming, and story. Very good story, it has a very deep connection with feelings, and one of my favorite games of all time. We were lucky to have The Company of Myself grace the golden halls of Kongregate. 7/5 Top Hats. TRS (Toasty Rating Service)

I didn't find the game that entertaining, to be honest. The challenges were easy to solve and the story wasn't that intuitive or original, since I've seen the general idea before. Plus the fact that I had absolutely no attachment to the character made the sadness other people talk about impossible.
I can't feel sad for a little jumping man in a hat killing his wife and being psychologically analysed due to a mental breakdown.

i feel like this is based off of someones life.
it's possible that someone had met another person and fell in love, then at some point she died. the one who had not died buried her in his backyard in a box painted green (or green was just what they choose for the game) and he put two flowers near where she was buried. afterwards he became insane and lonely, and was put into a mental hospital. plus this made me want to cry it was that sad.

The whole point to this game was that a pyschotherapist was treating Jack. The game is based on how Jack and his wife Kathryn would do everything together but she died and he cant handle it. At the end of the game, it says how Jack actually murdered her and put her in a green box, signifying the green box you have to get to at the and of each level. The flowers you spawn at were the flowers Jack put next to her coffin when her buried her. Finish the game to get the full report. * TIP * on the last level, send guy after guy jumping off the cliff and eventually, the guy your controlling will jump off the past guys heads and make it to the door.

the second possible ending i think (after what kanacali said) is that the main character actually sees one of the shadow thingys (the ones you make in the game by pressing space) in the hospital nd talks to it nd.....so on xP

Simply amazing story and amazing creativity shown in the way the story is relayed to the gameplay. Never played a game with such an emotional and moving story, had watery eyes and goosebumps all over my body when I read the final report. 5/5 without a doubt.

This is not a game, neither is it a story, or a poem. It is something all together different. This masterpiece is one among many, a gem, a jewel found and polished, shared with the world. it's compelling story, beautiful music and art, but most of all the simple way, the simple wish of one man to tell his life. This will be one jewel, I will remember for a very long time, my whole life perhaps?
The Company Of Myself. A fitting title no?

It was indeed beautiful, extremely compelling, and fully deserved of the 5 stars i have rated it. The puzzles were challenging, but that's how a great platforming puzzler should be. It's extremely sad, and a good story line is needed in this sort of game to keep a player interested. 5/5
