u need to fix the seach party, i sent 5 guys with max safety and 2 died, i sent 1 alone and she comes back with a grenade launcher :/

3 star, game play is fun if sometime buggy (shots were hitting about 2cm over from my crosshair in one wave), the search party function needs tweaking (high search skilled groups finding nothing, high defense groups having members die) minor fixes but greatly effect game enjoyment. strategy adds to fun, randomness ruins it.

Actually, I got some guns and survivors. Don't know if updated, but I liked it. The only thing is my damn crosshair. It simply disappear all of the sudden.

Okay, that always-dying survivors really pissed me off, so i lurked a source a bit (sorry guys, you asked for it):
A success of all actions is determined by skill test function, skillCheck(A, B, C, D). To pass that test, you have to score C or higher at least B times on A throws of a D-sided dice.
To determine if *everybody* survived during a search, game performs a skillCheck(totalFightingSkillInSeachParty + 1, totalMenInSearchParty, 5, 6). What does that mean? A chance to survive is determined by purely by division of totalFightingSkillInSeachParty by totalMenInSearchParty, so a 301+102 search party (skillCheck(5, 2, 5, 6)) will have much lower chance to survive, than 301 search party (skillCheck(4, 1, 5, 6)), despite higher defence efficiency. Alas.

What could have been a good game, destroyed by multiple survivors dieing EVEN WHEN YOU SEND 5 OF THEM WITH AT LEAST 2 FIGHTING SKILL!!!! inane. Was this even playtested? Search party is "safe" and 2 people die?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
O.K. game but too many wasted days+survivors dying means i run out of help and the crosshair does vanish randomly. If there was a more balanced finding system that would be good.

Apparently I need to count my bullets every time I open fire so I know when to reload. It'd be nice if you had a bullet-counter or something so players can time their reloads

It's really hard to aim at targets once they get close to below the window sill. Like I can hit them with a head shot still, but it's ridiculously hard to keep your mouse within the screen so you can make the shot.

WOW? Seriously? Finally got the grenade launcher and it sucks so much I might as well stick with my Scar-H. It firsts 1 shot, and has travel time which is the same regardless of how far you shoot which is just stupid and then it has a high reload time for 1 bullet. The remmington? pretty much the same as default gun, m4? # looks better than ak? Nope, you have to use 3 shot and the low recoil is bs. Allies? Useless, only good to pick up the last 10 kills making it seem like they do something. Search often doesn't succeed. This game is good but it falls short on so many accounts. Needs to be able to equip your allies so they scale with the difficulty, have base % of success and a multiplier to reflect search parties. It was 4/5 until I entered the endgame survival phase, now it just goes down as I play it any longer.

Wow, this has great potential to be an awesome game. But lots of little tweeks need to be made first - especially taking time to listen to the comments made by your gamers.
1. survivors die to easy
2. skill distribution doesn't seem to matter much
3. cant ever find anything
4. no control over where we want to "search" or build
5. cant change reload speed - which is WAY too slow
6. no upgrade options
7. designing base and upgrade options
8. too repetative and gets too hard too fast
9. developer needs to spend more time developing

I understand you are going for a tower defense style game here, but there are a few features that hurt the style. First, the reload time is long regardless of the usefulness of the weapon. Also, you should be able to switch a bit faster. Second, the weapons feel nerfed so that the best ranged weapon is the AK, but there are no other decent ranged weapons. Third, your survivors apparently are part of the spray and pray category of shooters. I would expect the strength of their fighting skill to determine their actual abilities. But i felt there was nothing of the sort.
All in all though it was enjoyable. A bit of a story line other than survive would probably help separate it from the other zombie defense games too.

The game has a good concept, but as posted the logic is very wonky. How survivors should be distributed is totally wonky(I have played the game multi times), and makes little sense. I'll check back in a day or 2, but not much fun more than playing once or twice...

This game is based too much on luck: whether you find survivors or weapons, what skills those survivors have, whether HALF your search party dies on a "relatively well protected" excursion... boo. This is a really great concept, but you need to add more strategic control of the outcome. How about letting us GO on the search missions for example. Equipping survivors sounds good/easy to implement. How about letting us DESIGN our base and barricades - or building obstacles for the zombies.

What is up with my people dying on the search parties? Do they see an item and are like.. HELL YEAH, I'M INVINCIBLE!!!!!?? I'M GONNA GET THAT M9!!

nice graphics - nice feel - but all the way through the game it was - no survivors found - no weapons found - no casualties ... dead zed must mean .... zzzzzz ....

I enjoyed the gam at the start but after a while... It was no fun anymore, just caused me stress. And the I got the grenade launcher! But then I was bored...

I think waves should be longer instead o more and more zombies approaching all at once. So longer pauses between zombies, because every wave takes ,more or less, the same time to complete. I don't know how it is with the other players but I can't really shoot that wel that I can shoot 50 zombies in the head in less than 2 minutes. Otherwise nice game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The first half of the game feels too much headshot-oriented. You can spend half of AK47 clip and still not kill a regular zombie if you are shooting at torso.

(SPOILERS) I personally think the game is fun. The one think I would like to see in this game, however, is a broader storyline. After I finished that game, I was a bit disappointed: "Congratulations! The army arrived and cleared out the zombies!"
I would also like to continue playing after I finished. I wanted to see what other weapons I never received.

This game seems rather under-rated, as it captures the panic of a zombie apocalypse very well. Unknown Odds, a Human character who doesn't know how much ammo he (or she) has left unless they're counting it in their head, companions who can and will die, and of course, the frustration of taking a shot, only to find you had the sights misaligned, and then the panic as the target lurches closer. Brilliant!

This game has sooo many flaws! I think it was rushed together to be ready for the nex thursday. Not much thought was put into it, just a bunch of reused ideas. It could be mediocore at best even without it's other flaws - and they are many too. Let's see: the crosshair sucks, you never really know where you aim; so even the rifles wich should be very accurate keep missing! I somehow manage to score headshots, but aiming for the head is very hard: it's not only too small, but those f*#%ers jerk their heads around all the time! Also, the hitbox for the head seems not to be exactly where the head is drawn.

My best stratagy for a headshot was to shoot the torso, then let the muzzle climb up. Even this works only about 1/3 of the times and wastes 1-2 ammo. Reloading is also awful becouse of this stupid idea that instead of automatically reloading when the mag. is empty, you first have to click to make the weapon click, and then click again to start reloading. This is the most annoying with the luncher, becouse you must click 3 times for each shot. It's also stupid that even though you have some pretty good weapons, your fellows keep useing the worst of your armory - wich makes them almost useless. With it's general mediocoreity and all these flaws it's only good for a 2/5 by me.

Would be great if when you ran out of ammo the person reloaded it automatically rather than thinking "Oh, out of ammo, I'll wait until I really need to shoot someone, then I'll reload."

Beat it! W00t! The trick is to stop searching buildings once you've got a decent number of survivors for shooting duty and you have a grenade launcher.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
GRENADE LAUNCHER ISNT AS COOL AS IT SOUNDS, ok about the delay but it only kill 3 zombie at a line and is too sloooooooow in COD reloads faster than this!!!

I'm glad to see games like this and Super Samurai Sweeper. Fun is in management of odds, balancing risks, and taking advantage of whatever assets fortune delivers to you from a high entropy system. If you win a game the first time you play it, why bother?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
wow what a poorly thought out game. It could be great but the search party function is so broken that it ruins the entire game. My party never seems to find anything except death. So I end up missing out on weapons and never really get to mess with the "assign survivors" part of the game since they are all needed on the search party to have any chance to find anything without the whole party dying. Stupid. Drops game from 4/5 to 2/5 for me.

I have 10 party members, SCAR and AK ... and I'm overwhelmed by insane big crowd of zeds. I wish I could have a granade launcher, because assault guns aren't enough good to shoot out so large groups.
