Under rating threshold (show) I wish there was a way to disable weapons. I can't even make it to level 3 anymore now that I've purchased bombs and boomerangs. every single time I've died or lost the town since then was from getting stuck with bombs or boomerangs.

Under rating threshold (show) my advice for weapon improvements: 1) Boomerang needs to move faster and deal 2 damage per hit. If it's a totally unspammable move, it should be punishing when it does land. 2) Ice magic should deal 2 or even 3 damage if you hit with the main spike. You should be rewarded for actually hitting things with such a finicky, slow projectile moreso than its spammy fragments. Alternatively, it could pierce through enemies until it hits a wall. 3) Light magic should have shorter duration, but you should be able to start charging a new beam while the old beam is still out. 4) The ball and chain passive should not put enemies into invulnerability. They should become immune to the ball and chain for a bit, but I've gotten hurt too many times because the ball and chain protected them from my lance or sword attack. This game is really fun, it just needs a bit of polish to make it truly shine.

Under rating threshold (show) I just want to let everybody know--you *can* wipe your game progress by clearing your browser cache. I know it's a heavy handed way of doing it, but it is an option. Just also be aware that when you start upgrading again, if you get 3 junk weapons shuffled up, you're not going to be able to reshuffle again until you purchase one, so selectively purchasing certain upgrades is going to be somewhat reliant on RNG unless you have a reshuffle option.

Under rating threshold (show) Boomerang and beam still feel like junk weapons. Would be nice if there were a way to toggle weapons and secondaries, like have a menu where you need at least N slots filled but let you start swapping them once you get far enough. Ice wand also feels kinda mediocre.

Under rating threshold (show) Woo I haven't had this much fun playing an action game in so long! The music really keeps you going especially the music for the greed-fueled king. We need more cards to upgrade the town, we need more stages after the greed-fueled king so we can ante up some more, maybe take on the gambler devil, we need some way to keep gold relevant after all the upgrades ;-D I really want to see some more stuff for this game.

Under rating threshold (show) ***Let me see my damn town I'm upgrading.*** If you had a little image of the town that fills in the buildings and crap we bought and added a hover over that tells us what each thing we bought does again. Maybe have a town gate and the heroes can hang out there. Something. That's the one thing this game is legit missing.

Under rating threshold (show) ok game, one issue though, axes are the most worthless item in existence and will make you die 100% of the time when you pick them up if you cannot get another weapon within the next 10 seconds, can you add the ability to select items you want to appear in chests or just remove axes?

Under rating threshold (show) Restarting helped with the lag. Very fun to play, although the unlocks are quite random and not always beneficial. As others have mentioned, boomerang has a very long flight and much lower rate of hit compared to any other ability. Similarly, ice lance flies and charges slowly and explosion is only useful if one stands next to a wall. It feels like due to high rate of enemy spawn and random weapons, I keep hitting a 600-700 gold wall. Still, fun to play! 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) This is an... interesting take on Super Crate Box. And you can't tell me that the similarity is accidental, especially considering all the screenshake on EVERYTHING. I beat the king... I think? Was something supposed to happen after beating him? The level continued with spawns like normal, then I eventually died and got the standard death screen.

Under rating threshold (show) Hey, I really like the game so far, but maybe you should switch the weapon button to a key other than shift? It's just that if you press shift multiple times in a row the sticky command comes on on a lot of computer and interrupts the game (it got me killed a couple times). Maybe try making it "Z" instead? Just a suggestion! Other than that, you've done a great job on the game, I've really enjoyed playing it!

Under rating threshold (show) I think the final boss's bug might occur whenever he tries to leave his arrow-shooting phase; I kept track of what he did for a few fights, and he was completely normal up until his arrow-shooting phase, at which point he spawned in twice in rapid succession. I couldn't tell for certain in the chaos, but I assume that every time he leaves an arrow phase, another iteration of him appears. It's theoretically possible to beat him by using the Wizard and hoping to get invincibility before dying, but that'd take some pretty good RNG and/or selective purchasing.

I've put in a temporary fix, but I think you're onto something with the root problem. His arrow behavior is a little wonky when I play the game in Chrome (I did most of my testing in Firefox). Something or another is causing his bow phase to last longer in one browser than another, which is... kind of bizarre, but it's a start to a concrete answer at least.

I've been trying to figure out what causes this, but I can't for the life of me reproduce the glitch. If anybody notices anything else unusual--or can pinpoint anything weird they were doing in the game when the multiple kings started--any hint as to what could be causing this would be very helpful.

Under rating threshold (show) Anti-frustration/keep gold relevant after all upgrades have been purchased idea: Once all upgrades have been purchased, have one final permanent upgrade that increases your health by 1 each time you buy it but the cost goes up after every purchase. Something like 20,000 up front and +5,000 to the cost after each purchase. Don't offer it for town health however, that's how you keep the game interesting (and allow an easy option for death to power levelers).

Under rating threshold (show) The amount of gold you need to ante-up to the next level are 200, 1000, and 2000 for levels 1, 2 and 3 respectively for those trying to get to the King of Greed as quickly as possible. If you have any less when you die, you won't have the option to ante-up to the next level.

Yup, that's it. Each level is "play 'til you lose," with an opportunity to keep going if you did well enough.

Under rating threshold (show) All in all, a fun game. It needs a pause button of some sort. The different kinds of monsters are interesting, I didn't expect the skeletons to have a ranged attack, for example- I expected a charge of some sort. The wait before they shoot is good. The ax feels a bit weird, and it'd be nice if it were a bit more precise. It also feels as though it falls too slowly, but it's probably fine. The bow's arrows are cool in that they stick to the walls, but it makes the game laggy if there's too many. Could you put a cap on it of 20 or so, or make it adjustable? I like how rapid-fire the sword is, though I wonder if there's an upgrade to make it a bit longer. That'd be helpful. 5/5 and favorited.

Dooone. Default character upon starting the game up the first time is now Marquis, the Knight (Drift is still available for folks that really like double jumps). I've also made it so chests won't give you weapons you're already carrying, and I fixed a glitch with the bombs.

Under rating threshold (show) The game's fun, but there are some weapons you try to get rid of as soon as possible. The boomerang takes way too long to return (leaving you mostly defenseless), the light beam takes too long to activate for its width (making it hard to hit enemies with it), and the lance slams you into opponents at high speed without really protecting you against tougher enemies (and moves too fast to judge when to stop). These could all use upgrades to improve them, either ones you purchase, or just by making them better.

Done and done. New version should have less "hang time" on the boomerang so it returns sooner, and it travels slightly faster. I've reduced the charge up time on Holy by a hair, and it can be fired a bit more rapidly. The lance does enough damage now to clear everything short of the bats and beholders (for the beholders, at least, I recommend aiming for the back). Still a bit unsafe against projectiles, though.

Under rating threshold (show) Just a quick heads up, the previous version of the game *was not saving.* I've made one of those quick, dirty five in the morning type fixes, and it should now save your progress whenever you cash out from a run or purchase an upgrade. Real deep apology if I ruined anybody's day with that. Probably going to make some tweaks over the next day or so, based on feedback (and by that I mean the total lack thereof). If anybody's got any comments or suggestions, I am totally down to receive them. Thanks.
