Quite fun and smooth. But even with maxed armor the sphere's simply too squishy, and that renders the rockets just about useless (apart from securing those few achievements, that is). No doubt a couple of rounds of play testing would have paid considerable dividends.

As the ball vertically decelerates, it loses rotational speed as well - and then as it accelerates downward the rotation speeds up again. How does that work?

Nice proof of concept, but thin on content and without objectives or room for creative expression it barely counts as a game.

the mines are annoying, especially when travelling at warp speed.. the cannons also.. not a bad game all in all, could be much better with a few tweaks.

Thank you for the game, I am a huge launch fan. I like the art work, but not enough upgrade options and because of high costs on those few upgrades, I got bored after awhile, and quit before all upgrades done.

1) It would have been nice to know that your bombs are refreshed every round (thx mdaborn) which is mentiod in at least no obvious place. 2) The Upgrades are on the one hand too expensive and on the other hand comparable with reenforcing a wall with play-doh. Also, it might be just me, but do the bigger spikes slow you down on ground? 3) the cannons make the game unfair. They fire with lightning speed and since you have no way of seeing them come you can't even try to dodge. At least they should be a little more storm-trooperish
Interesting conept, nicely done, but the cannons and the weak upgrades, as well the fact that there is no "goal" make it tiring pretty fast. 3/5.

For anyone who hasn't realised the items are one use in the run but regenerate for the next run and @klopmand press space to use an item.

i really don't like how the cannon balls don't hit me as i fly by at about 300 feet per second and they still hit me
please fix that if it's a bug or fix it even if it isn't

This is an ok premise but it lacks an overall goal. After a few launches it gets boring because you have no purpose. I can't even try to get the rest of the achievements because they are all "secret". Add some kind of end game and reveal the requirements for the achievements.

Too few upgrades and they are too expensive relative to the money you're accumulating early on. It may as other commentors state be fun later on, but it's too much of a grind to find out.

I agree with Ajax and what more would really make the game more playable is if make the size of everything a bit smaller, at least the cannonball, now all you see is a big spinning sphere and sometimes a dot passes by with a squichy sound.

I love launch games, and I like the whole concept of this, it is different in a played-out genre. More upgrades, more achievements, more engaging us. You're on to something here, make a few changes, and I'll love it. Would be a 3/5, but for adding a new twist on launch games, 4/5.

Very tedious, you have upgrades but it takes a very long time to be able to buy them. It's similar to Burrito Bison where you're trying to hit enemies, except there are very few enemies and nothing to do but wiggle the ball around.

Fun and addicting but it can get pretty tedious in the early game, waiting for the crushing sphere to run out of steam. Plus you don't feel very engaged for the first part since all you can do is shift the sphere around a bit while watching it move along. Later game is at least more hands on, what with having to dodge cannon fire and deploying items, but even with maxed armor you get pulverized. Cannons on the ground, spiked balls in the air. The thrust item upgrade gets me killed more often than not simply because I rise in heights and crash into the airborne obstacles. Still fun, but those are my critiques.

Good launch game. I would like to see a goal related to the theme, something like an enemy king at 50'000 distance or something. After killing the enemy king you open the unlimited, high score, mode. I feel that this would add some more interest for the game itself.

A nice twist to a popular theme! Would be nice if there were additional upgrades or achievements we could earn. Nicely done!
