I actually like the square asteroids, it adds a ? factor to the game.
It was easy and a little bit slow but that's only a minor issue. What isn't a minor issue is the fact that at lvl 20 and after the asteroids start to bug and some don't get affected by lasers and shots, but still hurt you, and ruins your combo (which made me sad, as I hadn't let one through until then.) :(

The asteroids are squares because unfortunately when I was making the game I was still in the early learning stages - this being my first major project that didn't take an hour to throw together - and didn't know how to program various things, one of course being irregular shape hit tests. Updating the look of the asteroids, although beneficial, would be quite a tedious task since what's done is done, and efforts would be better spent on fresh projects.
Feel free to offer suggestions and I will try to upload new versions regularly.

in late game, the rate of fire is actually a bad thing coz it overheats the gun more quickly, lags and reduces quality.

the costumization of the spread radius is a unique feature ive never seen in any other game. aside square asteriods =P, it is a 4/5
