Description
Sneak peek at my upcoming game, Impossible Dungeon!
Slay monsters and collect items, the longer you survive the more goods you get, but the tougher the opposition!
How to Play
Arrows move
A toggles shield
S toggles sword
I/P pauses and opens inventory
Most items are auto-applied, but some are activated by clicking on them.
Developer Updates
Minor alteration added to title and instructions screens: this game is not a casual game. Expect to think, expect to learn, and carry your experience from game to gameâno âmedalsâ necessary.
========
Fixed the thief (aka âghostâ) not facing the direction of travel like other humanoids.
Altered the thiefâs effect to be less penalizing.
========
Added mute button
Hopefully fixed the replay -> out of bounds issue
Minor graphics update
New monster! With the added graphics for the wizard its now easier to tell them apart (allowing me to let the third one spawn!), which direction theyâre looking.
Also re-ordered the monster order a bit, green wizards will show up before red slimes, allowing less-skilled players to see more monster types.
Added item hotkeys. E for potions, R for the mirror
Added limited uses to the mirror (2 per treasure)
Fixed the âmove while pausedâ exploit.
Increased thief (âghostâ) attack rating per level and clarified its primary effect

I like it. I didn't understand at the start about *toggling* the sword and shield, I thought you had to keep hitting the sword button. I'd be nice if that was a tiny bit clearer.

Like the concept. Didn't find shield to be too useful, and a couple special abilities that can be used occasionally might spice it up.

So far, I'll give this 3/5. I'll see to the final rating once your final project comes.

Remind's me of Tower Of Druaga. Good Game!

Reminds me of a roguelike. Having a longer sword (or just a different selection of weapons overall) and more enemies to balance it would've been more fun, right now it's kind of a game about stepping away/shielding at the right time and then turning around to strike back, not strategy or action.
The full dungeon version of this game should be fun, though, you should finish it.
As for bugs: The wave counter on my second playthrough stayed at 1, no scores are being sent, score rank of S+ for standing still the entire time.
