Description
LL:TBK is a one room story focused point-and-click.
You play as P.I. Abraham Flynn, who takes on jobs to collect funds for his own secret agenda. What agenda is that I hear you say? Well, I guess you'll have to play the game to find out.
How to Play
Mouse only. Standard point-and-click fare.
NOTE: you need to solve a puzzle on the TITLEMENU in order to gain access to the game. The START & LOAD buttons do WORK, they're just blocked until the puzzle is solved.
Developer Updates
[10/07/2016] (version 1.01)
Added a โclearโ item marker to the โin hand itemโ box/button; within the in-game drop out menu.
Added a basic credits screen to the title menu.
Added greyed out versions of the title menu buttons: โStartโ & โLoadโ. To make it clear to the user that they have to solve a small puzzle in order to activate the buttons.
Adjusted the size of the rain effect area (title menu) from 800ร600 to 700ร500.
Replaced the base image of the โbusiness cardโ on all screens that require it (Save, Load, Credits).
Fixed a graphical bug where upon placing the item: โIdentifierโ in-hand via the inventory screen, would cause the image for the item: โInvitationโ; to appear within the โin hand itemโ box/button (in-game drop out menu).
Fixed a graphical bug where upon muting the game from the title menu, the in-game sound button would appear in itโs unmuted state; and would need to be clicked twice to actually unmute the sound.

This was more fun than I expected, but the inventory/action menus are a bit annoying (it would be more enjoyable if you could click on an object/person, and then select which action to take)
Thanks for playing, glad you liked it. I agree my inv system takes far to many clicks to use an item - but this is/was my first point-n-click and I learned quite a bit from it.

Music kinda gets irritating, but still the story is enjoyable. It would be great if this got achievements or perhaps even a sequel.
Hey, unfortunately the music is quite repetitive as the file sizes of the full versions of the tracks were too large, though I did make longer versions of every track in the game to put in, which are now just on the website as the OST. But we'll endeavor to find a way to put more full version in the (hopefully) next game, that aren't as repetitive. Also we'd love to have achievements for the game, that's what led us to make the sticker system, but we'd need a better review rating first, so tell your friends and hopefully we can boost our score enough to add them in!

I really enjoyed this game. The fact that we were investigating video game characters was very clever. I agree with guitarion, the inventory took a few too many steps. It took some effort to get items into your hand and it didn't make sense that clicking on the active item made it go back into your inventory. But it didn't take too long to get the hang of it. The thing that was hardest was navigating over to the right of the room. You had to click in small increments in order to get over behind the couch, especially when other characters were in the way. But overall, I got past the technical issues because the game was so engaging. I'm looking forward to the next games in the series.
Hey, thanks! Really glad you enjoyed it! The menu system is definitely something we'd work on if (hopefully when) we work on more games in the future. Maybe having the briefcase always on screen and having the info for an item come up when hovering and selected with a second click so it's a much shorter process but you can still get the extra information if you want it. Really happy that you liked the story and the idea, if you'd like to see a little more about the development and the mythos of the characters it's all over on the game's website which you can look at here: http://subtledistraction.wix.com/lastlife
