Description

Idle Viking RPG offers a unique twist to idle gaming, adding you, the hero, to the game and delivering an RPG narrative in bite-size chunks!

Welcome to the world of Midgard, a place full of fierce Vikings, mighty gods, bizarre beasties and a healthy dose of axes!

With Idle Viking RPG, create your own hero; decide what type of a ruler you’re going to be; and get ready to lead your fellow Vikings to glory.

Your settlements will continue gather resources even while you are not there (offline), so make sure you come back to check on their progress and upgrade!

Build up your 3 settlements across ancient Britain and earn blessings through prestiging. Each settlement is constructed in honour of one of 3 mighty Viking gods – Odin, Loki and Thor.

Collect gazillions of resources; build and improve the settlement; train your hero; and be decisive when faced with difficult dilemmas.

How to Play

Gather resources by assigning workers or clicking yourself. Gain enough resources to complete your settlement before moving on to the next. Each settlement starts from the beginning, although you can level up your hero, whose stats continue from one settlement to the next.

After the tutorial, you’ll see several tabs across the top of the screen.

Gathering – Tap to gather resources! The higher your heroes skill level, the more resources you get per tap.
Building – For purchasing the different buildings and upgrades required to complete the settlement.
Trading Post - Here you can sell your items. There are 3 filters (materials, created items and loot).
Recruitment - Here you hire workers to do the gathering for you!
Production - Here you can make useful items required for some upgrades or selling.
The hero - Here you can assign your hero to an activity; and access events and more!
The map - Here you can advance through the settlements.
Settings – Here you can manage your save game!

HINTS:

If you close the game and come back later, you’ll find the citizens of the settlements have been busy gathering resources for you, ready for your next move!

Click on any item icons at the bottom of the screen to learn more about it. Also look out for the question-mark buttons across the various screens for more detailed information.

Vikings rule!

Developer Updates

Aug 24, 2015 5:48am

Have made a variety tweaks and fixes based on feedback and reports (thanks all!)

To mention some key changes:
– Scrolling on the production and building list screens should now be easier (although note that you can click and drag to move up and down!)
– The XP level caps now only take effect before you prestige.
– Values for selling food you have produced in settlement 1 has been increased to be more inline with their costs.

Other feedback raised is noted and not forgotten!

I'm not a Zoologist or anything but I'm Pretty sure that's not a picture of a goat.

Lol! Sadly we arent artists, so we had to use what we had. We did get an artist friend to help out with the Viking characters and map, but that was all. Hopefully if people like the game we might get an artist to help us out with some better icon and button images :)

Third city needs to set an objective before you can choose to prestige or it's meaningless of a city.

Thank you - shall have a re-think on this!

The selling prices of the crafted items needs to be reexamined. It costs 15000 Boar Meat to make 100 Boar steak things, which sell for 300 each. Uncooked Boar sells for 3g a piece.

3x15000=45000 gold from selling uncooked.
100x300=30000 gold from selling cooked.

Why spend 15 minutes to create items that you will lose money on in the process? So far I haven't found any upgrades that require cooked meats to reach, so there is literally no point to the cooked foods other than the fish one, which gives you about a 4x yield compared to selling it raw.

Thanks for the feedback - shall certainly have another look at the costs. EDIT: Have improved the costs of the food you produce.

Claiming items made bit by bit is very annoying.

For those who haven't realized it yet: for building requirements higher tier resources can be used for lower tier production. This is why sometimes you can build without appearing to have the full requirements met with the baser resources. :)
