Description
SpaceTwitch is a 3D remake of the popular 80's arcade game โTempestโ. The game combines beautiful color with amazing twitch gameplay. The player maneuvers a series of planes with his or her avatar. As the player moves from plane to plane, he or she shoots out projectiles toward enemies that are located further down the plane. Enemy projectiles will come at the player, so he or she must avoid them at all costs. The player will be able to pickup special power-ups that allow him/her to have special abilities such as cloned ships, quicker shots, or more shots.
How to Play
As based on the original, all movement is either "clockwise" or "counter-clockwise". This is because some levels fully wrap around. "Tempest", the 1980's game this was based off of, utilized a turnable wheel to control the ship. Because most people will not have one of these hooked up to their computers, we have incorporated mouse movement to handle moving the ship lane to lane. This is a TUBE SHOOTER so you are going lane to lane, shooting enemies.
Movement: Move the mouse left to move your ship clockwise, moving the mouse right will move your ship in the counter-clockwise direction
Shooting: Left click
Pause Menu: Press 'P'
Tips:
- You can change the sensitivity in the options menu
- Avoid the enemies for as long as you can!
- You gain an extra life after each level
- Spikes stay in the level even after a Swirlie dies. Don't hit them when transitioning to the next level!
- The sparkles represent enemies that have powerups
Developer Updates
- Fixed bug where options would show first in escape menu
