Description
This was made for the Ludum Dare 24 competition and was made in 48 hours.
The concept of the game is to evolve the game itself. The games complexity, the graphics, and your abilities improve as it evolves.

Left/Right Arrows: Move

I didn't even realize I had a sword until I got to the boss. Nice little game, I like the evolving graphic concept.

It would've been funny if the boss was actually only the first, and he dropped another graphics cube to make the game 16-bit, and then it would have gone on to more and more advanced graphics after each boss, and the final boss would have dropped something that makes the game look like the second stage, as a parody of all the "Retro" style games.

You need to go back and make the initial player character something other than white, or start him in the air a bit so it falls, so it's obvious he's there. When I loaded at first, I was waiting, thinking the black and white was some sort of loading screen.
