First of all: Why the heck a wix site encapsulating it? Second, this seems like a platformer type thing more than adventure game.
As far as polish goes, personally it feels like the jumps are too quick for the height they are getting. Starting to run in the opposite direction feels sluggish when you are standing still, and the character moonwalks for a bit; works well when you're already running and want to change direction though.

Well, this isn't a bad start, still needs some work on jumping which seems too fast, and running which is too slow. Except that, noticed a little sprite issue with the grey haired character while standing still. For the "strange moon walking", I actually found it cool, it adds a little non mario-ish side to the game, so that it doesn't look too much like a classical plateformer :) (And yes, I'm agreeing with Remuladgryta, this is more a plateformer than an adventure game to me)
