A simplistic game that is hard to stop playing, it would be the perfect game for the ipodtouch/ipohne. You should consider publishing it.

maybe some more powerups and maybe even some mini games or upgrades like being able to buy a gun to shoot the mines away and stuff like that. great game 4/5 keep it up.
Upgrades are on their way in the "Reboot" version, which was built over from scratch. To get a sneak peak, you can always come on to the livestream and if I am on, might be working on it ;)

Nice one Abi, this game feels like your most polished and reasonable game so far, imo. I could pick at details like the 2.5-3 second timer on the shield and the fact that getting blasted backwards into the bubbles is by far the most likely cause of death, and the fact that the difficulty builds up too fast to give most people much gameplay,but on a basic mechanical and aesthetic level, this game works. Keep it up!
Thanks Hotshot. It has indeed gone through a ton of polish. I'm hoping to address the difficulty issues with my "reboot" version (as well as a couple of gameplay-changers).

Hey Abi, glad to see that the game has been published! Great work! However a few suggestions:
1) Change the oil system. When I say this I mean that Oil should not take one of your life, but it should just slow you severely (slower than you are currently slowed by it) that way if you get hit by oil when near the poison you die. This seemed to me a better option.
2) You need the instructions menu to be a menu that opens when you click "PLAY" because for me the advertise glitched and went completely over the instructions menu.
3) This would make a neat multi-player game, not sure if Stencyl has that capability but if so it'd be fun, different modes like Survival (Like regular mode but longest living fish wins) Racing ( First on to the end wins).
So yeah, a brief over-view it's an excellent game, keep up the work, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work become published!

First off, thanks for the detailed feedback! 1. I have gotten complaints that oil does TOO much... In the "reboot" version I am making, will be doing all the forces myself, so will be looking into balancing things. 2. The instructions are in "information", so I am not sure what you are looking for there... 3. Never thought of multiplayer, will consider it, but I think it's still out of my league at this point.
The whole game is made up of three scenes. You have the instructions screen, the only "normal" scene. Then there is the opening/game over scenes. And, there is the randomly generated game scene, which only LOOKS like it's moving :P.

Nice game but I think this game should also have mouse control. Click to go up release to drop (Like Fly The Copter). Although there is still left and right controls ...
Thanks for being specific with how to do the mouse controls. I had not thought of clicking to go up (that was the main issue with not doing them), so now I will likely be able to include it :) EDIT: I am currently trying to implement your idea in the Reboot! :)

I really enjoyed this game, but there were a bit too many mines when it first started. So I suggest that either you can add easy medium or hard levels or add fewer mines at the beginning and make it harder later on. Other than that, good game :).

I thought I should also add... After i finished playing this game my screen seemed to be slowly moving to the side, like those optical illusions. And the tophat should get bigger, the more lives you get!
Actually, the screen moving IS an optical illusion... everything but the fish is simply moving to the left (and even some of those are illusions... ;P). I am thinking of adding a spectacle (or whatever the eyepiece is called) for 15 lives.

Great game, I'd like to see mouse control though, even if it's "follow-the-mouse" type control (to keep the difficulty up).

What happened to oil drops from beta versions? It feels kinda empty without them. It also makes the game a lot easier - before I could barely get over 12k, now I got 15k on my 3rd try. Still, it's a 5/5 from me (I may be biased since I spent a lot of hours testing this game), but I really miss the oil drops.

i would consider adding an upgrade system, i have never played a never ending upgrade system style game probably because no one has thought of it and made one that or i just missed a couple of games(or one) that has already done that and great work like always!

Nice to see Mr. Goldfish finally here, it was a fun game to test. I like the small details, such as the fish changing when you get more lives, or the game over messages. It gets rather difficult after reaching 10k score, good luck to all players! 5/5, thanks for this release.

Oh, finally! I love this style of endless gameplay but gradually adding more enemies, though in a different way than in your other games. Well done, and I like the fishy. :D 5/5
