lol, thanks. I think that is the first time I have gotten a 5 for my rather pathetic title choicing :P. EDIT: This is now a top-rated comment? Lots of people like the title???

Thanks everyone for bringing the rating above 3.50 :). TLS is now the second highest rated Stencyl game and 0.20 from being #1!

Great game 5/5.!
i liked the story (even though it was a short one)
And i loved the fact that in every level you would have to do something different to proceed to the next level.
And i LOVED the little faces you put on the squares :D
So great job :)

Hey Abi, congratulations on your new game! It looks much more complete than Last Square Standing. Also, good to hear about the charity thing, mind telling us more about it?
Thanks :). The charity is Compassion International. They try to help out children in poor countries all over the world. I have been a child sponsor for many years now and know that they are a very reputable charity that just tries to do a lot of good :)

Thank you for responding to my message BTW this game is awesome and it looks like a lot of effort is this your first game?
Hard is definitely hard, but it is also definitely doable as I have managed to do it myself. A lot comes down to understanding when to run fast and when to take things slow. Don't forget about the shop, where you can buy things like a custom speed, so you can tweak your player to how you want him. :)
Each level is customized, which greatly increased the file size, which I cannot do anything about at this point :(. I'm glad you liked the graphics though :).

I love how this version has a wonderful story, but it dint ruin the simplicity of the game play! Unlike lots of story games this one doesn't take to long to finish! + if you agree.
I'll + for you. The goal was to make a game with a quick story but with multiple difficulties and unlockables (have you checked out the shop?) to keep players coming back ;).

Nice game but there's a bug. In survival, When you click "Survive" without selecting a character, The game starts normally but there's no character involved in the survival mode (It's not appearing)
You do realize that there are a ton of in-game achievements and a shop that uses those achievements to unlock customization, right? ;) Thanks for the 5 :)
In case anyone cannot figure it out, SPOILER: the hint was in the dialogue that the square must make him see things differently. You need to collect the stars he leaves behind ;).

I loved this game it was awesome the game name was nice I had to give it a 5/5 it is one of the best games Ive played (I played over 20000 games and this is in the top 10)
Wow, thank you :). If Stencyl 3.0 fixes the lag issues (it hasn't come out yet), one of my first goals is to make a sequel... "The Other Circle". Most of the details are already set up, just need to be able to avoid the lag issues (and have time to work on it; it's a decent-sized game).

lots of people seem to like it for it's story, but the game in itself is very bad. The spawning system could use some work and even on easy it's very hard to dodge the circles. (what do the modes do? less/more spawning?)
3/5, only for story, level design and concept
3/5, but only for the story and concept.
I don't get your comment. What would you improve about the spawning? Easy mode is supposed to be "easy"... The difficulties increase spawning rates, but that's about it. If you can be more clear about what you didn't like, then I can do better in the future ;). Glad you liked the story though.
Even with all of my beta-testing, when this first came out, there were several issues with it. The game has gone through a ton of updates. Unfortunately, Kongregate only puts badges on NEW games that do well, not old ones that have been updated to the point to where now they are good. Thanks for your support though :)
It's a rather large game, and I made it before understanding some tricks to keep the size down. If your computer or internet is slower, it may take some time to load :(
The charity is Compassion International, which helps out children in poor countries get food, schooling, healthcare, education, etc. They really try hard to make a positive impact on the world, so I do what I can to support them. :)
If you are going to take the time to write a comment, letting me know your thoughts on my game (or similar matter), isn't it respectful for me to take a few moments to respond? :)
Yeah, I've learned from that mistake (this was the second game I made); I think I added in another option for sprinting, but I can't remember off the top of my head. Other games I've made have other options. There is a level select menu, so you can skip right back to the boss if you want.

staplasam, the 1st, 2nd, and 2rd walls are the walls of the stage of a play. The 4th wall is the one that's imaginary, but it's technically still there. Talking to the audience, such as in an aside, breaks such wall.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
4th wall is commonly seen in comics. Here's how it happens: The character talks/explains something that connects to the real world, between those imaginary comics/games and the real world, is the 4th wall. (Dont know what happened to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.) So it means you broke it.

vsauce brought me to another great game of yours ( at least i think it is yours) and then i read a comment on that game that took me here. im so glad i found of these games because i love them. good job and good luck on any future games you might be making. (:
Yep, Last Square Standing is also mine. I'm glad you found this one too :). I have a lot of other games (and tutorials) in my profile although they are different from these two. Thanks :)
Thanks :). My motto is that if you take the time to write a comment, I should take the time to reply. Comments are the best way for me to learn what players like/don't like in my games, so I do whatever I can to encourage them :).
Aye, you'll have to be a bit patient. There's a lot of graphics, and this was created before I knew how to optimize the size... but it's well worth it once the wait is over ;).

Ahh, nice sequel! :)
I smashed some records while playing this game:
I now have all wall and burst survival top scores :D
Great game, 5/5 ♥

kind of a fail if u play with wasd. cuz if u press up (w) and ctrl which is spd up, u close the window, so since my window closed i dont know if this is a good game. xD

whichever version you can crash into (it happened to me w/ the pink circle), it was horrible watching the it bounce around afterward after my thousands of previous attempts. But it did get rid of my rage, so it wasn't all bad.
Oh... never had that happen to me (except in Last Square Standing, where it can happen to basically anything in the game :P). Will keep an eye out for issue like that in future releases (I no longer have this base file since I cleaned out my computer :( )
Which version? There's two completely different versions of the level 7 dialogue, depending on whether or not you got the pink circle in all the previous levels or not. ;)

@Abigayl What about having the enemies already there before you start the level? there don't spawn any new ones and it becomes easier/possible to predict enemy movements.
Also, for strategy: enemies with different abilities? like simple enemies that just shoot or chase you, to more complex enemies which can spot you and force all enemies to you or maybe spawn (a limited amount) of new enemies!
I don't know, these are just examples of what I would like to see in the second version of this game. Thanks for responding to my comments!
Unfortunately, the sequel was lost in a computer malfunction a while ago. In it though, I did have enemies that chase you. I will think on those other ideas. Thanks :)

@Abigayl
the circles spawn right next to you and are sometimes extremly fast. I found completing levels based on luck instead of skill/strategy. which I feel are very important in a game.
Generally speaking, the circles don't spawn right next to you (at least not when they begin spawning). That being said, in the next game (when I get back to making it), there's a red marker where circles come out from, which should help. Yes, there is a decent amount of luck in getting the right timing of the circles, but several levels rely more heavily on fast moving (i.e. maze, key, bomb, and door levels). There isn't a lot of strategy since this is more of an action game, but there is skill in quick reflexes and moving quickly through levels. If you have an idea for increasing the strategy, let me know.

I like the game. Clean simple and with a story. Perhaps you could had some colisions instead of just increasing number of enemies. And don't know if you want to continue this game (like the lonely square 2) you could had like shooting like in your tutorials ;).
Aye, cake was a last-minute addition, after the other 3 had been programmed... so I needed an "easier" sound than "easy"... and I figured a cake joke couldn't hurt :D
If you take the time to write a comment, I should take the time to respond. That's my stance anyways. Besides, I appreciate comments. They let me see what your thoughts are on my games. Because of comments, games have been radically changed over the months. This game is not nearly the game I first published ;)
