Go for Speed Run Badge first. Get Speed as every upgrade. Got 3:51 being somewhat careful for the alternating mines. And scored 7784. Speed helps score more than Allies and Shields. For final, start by pressing X for a moment, then hold C. Run around edge except when trying to reach red mine or ally bonus. When gain a new ally, release and hold C again.

The game glitches out when the display is not 650x500. You can zoom to get to that size, or edit the gamediv dimensions (using Inspect Element). This game is amazing! The first hard badge could have been considered a medium for me. Here's what I did (I had 11 def and 11 speed, no rotation and about...6 allies): Simply gather momentum and then hold down the mouse button FOREVER. Let your allies FLY! They will break off, create even more smaller bits and kill even more ships. If you see a "more ally" powerup come, get it, and then release your mouse button for a second, then hold it again. This is to allow your new ally to gain momentum. Your job is to go through all four corners of the screen, to kill as many ships as possible. Get hit by ALL the red mines if possible, and avoid the blue ones AT ALL COST. I got killed via the blue one, with my health at 300+ brought down to about 50+ just by hitting one. For the green one, stay away from it, one of your allies will hit it soon due to the fact that there would be a lot of them.

for the 7k kills badge. just get size continuesly until you get to the cloak fighters. then use the little thing that is mentioned in the top comment "headacher

Here's a cool tip: If you get a large enough asteroid you can get 2 power ups and once!"
use that to get both size and ally. once or twice try to get a few other upgrades but just stick with ally and size. on the last level just let your allies go crazy and have your asteroid circle around the outside. Remember if you become a tiny asteroid and your allies are still big then release the C/mouse button and press it in again. that will switch you to the largest available asteroid. if you are the last asteroid and uyou are tiny then try to dodge your way to a powerup

The ONLY thing you need to do to get both HARD badges at the same time is to get all, and I mean ALL, the SPEED powerups.

I used to play this game a lot when it first came out but now it is not working when I went back to try for the badges. o_O Could it be my browser? I am using FF8.

Badges aren't that hard, just a few runs through with a lot of practice can get you them easily. Mainly go for speed and armor, and allies later. 5/5

so.. the ships are all invisible or something, because they do explode as soon as I crash in to them, but they don't shoot and I can't see them..
too bad, seemed like an awesome game with nice achievements

I feel lucky, I got both badges at once, almost as if I earned an impossible badge! If you just upgrade your speed and nothing else, plus memorize the field and then at the end just run around in circles you should win after a few tries. Good luck!

Just as a fact, the second hard badge WAS an impossible, but was changed to hard a few hours later of being released.

On a mac w/ firefox, I can see the repulse ships and my allies, but cannot see anything else I'm destroying. I see the explosions, but not what I'm hitting.

i got 20 821. what i did was at first lvls I upgraded speed till 5 and then everything else for armour. this seriously helps at the end of the game/

For the invisible ships bug, I just found out that it only happens in cinematic mode.
If you don't go in cinematic mode, all the ships appear and shoot just fine.

Whew 3:48 finally. Key to getting the badge is memorisation. The badge isn't hard enough to be an impossible, but is certainly harder than most hard badges. Anyway 5/5 considering it is such an old game, very creative.

Tried the game on Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Internet Explorer and most enemies are invisible save for the one in the first level and mines (maybe others as well). Additionally, on Chrome (and likely on the rest) if something is destroyed by the mines (you or an ally) the game crashes. I'm not sure if the game can even be completed anymore let alone with a time limit so Rock Mobster may actually be impossible and even if not, Speed Demon is likely very close

you can download these songs at newgrounds.com. go to audio, go to the bottom, and type in the song. when you get to the player, you will see a little symbol that looks like a floppy disk!
