tip 2 for the challenge run because i forgor: unless you just entered an area/you're explicitly looking for a certain modifier on an equipment, scrap EVERYTHING. double check the stats on high rarities like red or above, though, as those can have phenomenal stats, up to 3 different types iirc

a bit of tips for people who also want to attempt the same challenge run as the one i'm currently on though:
1. due to your lack of base damage, anything that grants X% extra damage is effectively worthless, except for one skill: more damage against 3 or more foes. this is an absolute game changer, allowing you to damage every foe on screen until they're almost dead, before switching to another that's at full health, until everyone is one shottable.

ngl the replayabillity factor kinda drops after the third playthrough, but personal challenges such as "no items" or "no level up bonuses" keep it refreshing
rn i'm doing it with no swords and no damage from level ups
got to the first goblet but need to grind more to get past the poison enemies

Yeah kept plugging away this, getting fireball and the kill that gives you damage at the loss of speed if vital to finish the last orb.

I really don't get how you out DPS the final orb boss, you can't rush down the things that give you permanent debuffs, or you get combos like an enemy that guards on one side and the other one that slows you down at the same time, my rng hasn't given me gear better than the last zone so I can't find the last push I need to get through this boss.

@strycat that's a bug, you have to click another place, press shift and then keep playing as normal. You should be able to complete the orb

at a point it just feels like i hit a loot cap
and after that cap has been reached beating a level becomes very very difficult

I used the fireball skill for the second to last orb, as well as a few other levels. It's more useful than some give it credit for.

Will your progress be saved even if you delete your cookies? If not, why not? Why doesn't the site have a save progress aspect?

also fireball only works well in the clay area for the mudman rush, sadly useless, if there were more instances like that it would be worthwhile.

big BIIIIIG hint, you don't need to use the extra item bonuses if you don't want to. Keep building up over them and hold them until act 3, or until you've unlocked rings + amulet. The longer you wait on "one of every item" the more you get when you finally use it. The first two act 3 stages are actually easy, so if you reach act 3 wait til the last

Finished the orbs at 325569 HP, 394978 DMG, 135798 armor, and 360 ATK SPD :) Still have some skills locked, but honestly, does anyone actually use fireball skill?

There'd be times I randomly remember this game exists, and then I'd play it for an hour or so. The game has a mysterious charm to it, but I can't exactly describe what it is. Something with how simple, yet interesting the game mechanics are is part of that charm. It never gets to the point where it's so difficult that it gets frustrating, yet clearing an area still gives satisfaction. The skills are also fun to experiment with.

I finished the orbs with these stats 460927 hp 262189 damage 141608 armor and 368 atk speed all the game of this dev are so good exept tisyx cause not my style but the other games are just one of the best games i played

Final Stats: Health 25281, Damage 10602 (6236), Armor 10461, Atk Speed 199 (284) (in parenthesis means without the +70% dmg -30% atk speed perk) Love this game, come back to re-beat it every now and then
