decent game, maybe there are flaws but mostly the controls I feel are solid the way they need to be for a platformer, if there is a problem it is most likely the player's fault. some freezing and lag occured at times. I really do enjoy the music. first level isn't great like someone else commented, but the rest is nice. I love that style of music, what's it called? chillwave or something and it's nice it gives a nice flow and relaxation which is good for the player to keep calm even when dying alot, and it spikes up for rush levels which is good. nice platformer

Nice graphics and music, annoying gameplay. Too many jumps with something over me. Too many "hold for .2 seconds but not .3 seconds or you'll jump into spikes." Despite the annoyance of replaying large chunks after a mistake, I did like the "boss stages" though. Also, points for the "Companion Cube" in level 27 and the Donkey Kong like "Monkey Business" for stage 28!

Instead of one huge jump, we should be able to double-jump, which would be two smaller jumps. That would make the boss at level 10 and other levels easier and the controls better.

really good game!
I'm now at the 3 gates.
no idea where to go though.
I mean the first area is big, many levels. how should I know which room it refers too? :-/
I aint too good with hints

After about 15 infuriating, not fun minutes, of playing "Enter the Inferno", I finally got to the end and got to the valve! I hit it, a cutscene plays... and the giant stone man keeps coming towards me. I assume it's just so the water can stop him. Nooope, he kills me in the cutscene. So cue 5 more minutes of me trying to get to the end. Same thing happens. And again, same thing happens. I honestly can't enjoy the last part of this game. Not only is it glitched so I die before the cutscene, but "Enter the Inferno" is just, imo, a bad level. Often times, difficulty doesn't equal challenge, and I find that's how it was here. Until the glitch is fixed, I won't be attempting to beat this game again

I think that the game is freaking awesome, and it's a real tribute to the platformers that were challenging years ago. This game makes the other Kongregate platformers look like they were made by amateurs.

Could it be possible to lower quality/remove background or something to make the game run smoother? Level 20 lags so bad that I can't complete it.

Has anyone ever mentioned how entering a secret area while playing on Time Attack mode automatically disables the timer and death counter? (Essentially ending TA prematurely.)

Well, this is a good news/bad news story: first the good news, which is actually the bad news, I was right. Lordy, doesn't work at all. This dungeon is worse than dangerous.

I'm going to go out on a limb and comment about this game before I even enable flash. My thinking is that it's going to glitch considerably. If not, I'll just write another comment updating my findings. Stay tuned. I'm sure you want to know.

Finally beat the bonus level. It took forever and I kept with it just because I hate quitting. It had long since stopped being fun. It's longer than it deserves to be and the worst part is you changed the mechanics of the previous boss levels, which I loved. Rather than running from the boss, the room is moving. The problem is that I do not benefit from good play by getting ahead because I have to wait for the screen to advance so I can see where to go next. Redoing the same part over and over so I can get to the point I'm struggling with is not fun.

Great game, solid platformer. I wanted to keep going to see the end. Difficult, but nothing one cannot master after playing over and over :)
The only problem I have with the game is that there seem to be some technical problems with the lag, for me it started happening around level 20 and it got really bad by level 29-30-star 3. Also, the controls will get "stuck" once in a while, i.e. you keep running right even though you let go of the right key.
I may be wrong as I've never worked with stencyl, but I think the lag might be due to the garbage collector kicking in too much at one point. Objects may not be unreferenced properly or something. Hope this helps, and that you're able to solve the problem.

That final trial has got my hands cramping up! I haven't been this determined to finish a game since Pause Ahead. Great game!

It's really too bad that the music resets when you die, because most are great :). You could just let the music plays for all the time when one is in a world, until he gets to the "escape" level, where you could let the music plays even when one die. In short, I'd prefer not to have the music reset itself until it have to change than to have a dying music ;). No problem with the game otherwise, graphics are nice (they make me think to Zelda on SNES ^_^), controls are great, and gameplay is very interesting. I love this kind of retro game and I really liked your humor, especially when I could kill the boss pursuing me ^_^.

After playing Dangerous Christmas and enjoying it (a while back), decided to come back to the original... don't really like this one as much though :(

I've experienced the same freezing, starting from the first key platform. I walked off the platform, and the whole game froze up for a couple of seconds. There have also been periods of 'lag', where repeated freezing occurs. The oddest part is that CPU usage for Flash (Chrome Task Manager) drops from ~70% to 1-3% when a freeze happens. You *seriously* need to use a profiler.
