aside from the fact that units deal random damage, the enemy is constantly getting double turns, and half the time it tells me my unit does critical or master strikes and the enemy loses 0 health it's not a bad game at all

The Reasons of your troops dealing 1 damage is that the enemy is FORTIFIED. Or the enemy is in a terrain which gives high defence. Or your troops attack is not upgraded.Or the enemy has high defence. And when your troop attacks in a bad terrain. There is also a glitch wherein when you attack and nothing happens. To destroy enemy FORTIFICATIONS in terrains which gives high defence you might as well use the CATAPULT! Or range units to break the fortification.

Dealing 1 damage is a miss. In this game you never miss, you just get a "weak hit" and deal very low damage. The high damage is when you actually hit.

although i love this one i do admit it is random. like i say if you guys love these types of games but find the randomness is the only thing that ruins it for you then try fantasy kommander 2 its on this site its way less random

man damage is too random:
attacking a goblin infantry from the rear with my upgraded general: 1 damage
next turn, goblin infantry attacks back, frontal attack on my general: 15 damage!!
total gamebreaker

i have beaten them all on the hardest difficulty the other 3 games ( FK chapter 2 ) (kaos Kommander chapeter 1) ( chrome wars ) and this one to this is the only one were the ballance is off with random criticals they fixed this in the other games so if u like this game but find u only dont like it for the random crits then go try one of them. Also attack from behind or flanks and dont use a shit infantry to attack a troll in a fort u will obviously get your ass kicked anyways give the game a chance or try another one of there's if your only upset by the random crits =D

People.. Stop complaining about the damage. This is, after all, a stratagy game. The point is to try and flank your enemy and get behind them. If you keep attacking them from the front, they're gonna block it everytime, and you'll only get one damage. Always attack from the sides or the back and the game will go a lot quicker for you.

I agree with most people that damage is too random, and that really ruined the game for me. You hit 1 5/6 of the time but then 1/6 of the time, it's like 'master strike' 35 damage and you instantly kill the enemy. apart from damage randomness, its an okay game. 2.5/5

the damage system is too random
replaying the same level and winning/loseing due to luck
most of the time hitting for 1
crit for over 300, miss for 0
armored units move range is so low, the chances are the fight is over before they get there. unless you wait for them to crawl there.

Nice game...i give it 3/5 only because of the one glaringly obvious issue. DAMAGE....wtf is up with it? it's totally random at best, freakin retarted most of the time...fix that and u got urself a 5/5 game

Damage is all over the place, extra turns are a joke, being able to fire while only losing one level of entrenchment is daft, interface is clunky - keeps scrolling the screen when trying tio select units/targets, the closest zoom level is useless, would have been better with something between the other two, it's not alway s clear when it's my turn, and it's bloody slow. Apart from that .. it's two easy achievements

How come the troll general always get a critical attack when he hits my general? and how the hell are we supposed to win when we only do 1 damage, and when we get a critical attack it dont do damage? Whats the point in upgrading the units when they only do 1 damage anyway?

all you guys who are complaining about how you only do one damage and that master attacks dont do high damage are doing something seriously wrong. all my master attacks hit high damage and my weak attacks dont even hit one damage. just thought id say its not the games fault. 5/5 :D

oh and theres another flaw with this game they can do 2 times the trenches on 1 turn and we can only do 1 and 2 they get to attack 2 times and all 2 times there atack is major and only sometimes can we atack 2 times and theatack is like 1 damage

this game is so bullcrap kaos fantasy they were stronger and 2 they dis ppl in this game for there screw ups cuz its sayen weak attack when u already no cuz uve been doing 1 dmg for like an hour i think if there gonna make a game were a skull on deaths tresure can trade off 256 dmg they should make it fare its good game but u screwd it up with 1 dmg constantly its impossible to rase an army when u cant resurect and ur units keep getting killed and u dont have enough funds to help fix it and ill rate max

i like it but the game randomly freezes sometimes after a command is issued and though i can move scroll around the map, i no longer am able to click on any of the units.

u know .. i like the game style-maps-special attacks and spells.. but do u know what i don't like .. when I or the enemy play twice and sometimes triple .. i don't really mind about that but its a waste of turns so i was thinking ... u should make the turns unlimited or fixing that bug

only thing i dont like about this game, is how at seemingly random times, you or the enemy get an extra turn. that makes this game cross from strategy, and enter the realm of luck. otherwise 5/5 great game

Actually there's another game just like this one, but it's set in the future. It's much better, and more 'finished', although it only has one race, and one campaign - "Chroma Wars" (also on kong) Link: http://www.kongregate.com/games/Ageofgames/chroma-wars .
Also, you gotta love it, when the game says 'weak attack' and then gives dmg 1.

Dwarf campaign, troll side-campaign, mission with the undead general and cursed treasure... it's way harder than the one before and the one after it, that mission is. Quite a lottery, you're bound to lose at least one troop.
