OK, how do you beat level 6 on normal? I've been throwing all the ships I can muster (80) at these defense stars and nothing's happening. I've tried going around them and my fleet dies even faster... Help please?

I've beat lvl 10 a number of times without getting the Victory statement. At least it's a tough level I get to play again, and again, and again...

hm, replaying lvl 9 doesnt take too long, just a "select all systems - fighter/def - wait - counter attack - done"-thing. The level seems to work fine for me.
mmmh.. but is it intended that fighters don't get attacked by minefields (and prolly even defensestations?!) - this makes things much easier somehow - little need to get rocketstations (maybe to break through this nasty belt at the last mission).

Ok, now for my final review. 100/5. This is absolutely the best game I've ever played on Kongregate. It's completely new (not counting Nanowars, but this is so far above that game it pretty much is in its own league.) Perfectly balanced, the final battles took hours. I love the fact that if you mess up once, you might be dead. Great AI. (I changed one of my defense bases to a rocket once without paying attention, and one freaking enemy snuck past my defense line, and took half my stars before I could get it back.)
Lag at high levels, Like someone else said, you could fix that like Nanowar did, combine the ships going from/to the same place by making the "fleet" a bigger icon, but only have one of them.

Also, you can't fly through enemy defense stars, unless you're actually attacking that star. The defense aura will kill anything almost automatically, in the same way the mine field does. If you have several enemy defense bases overlapping, You'll have to use the rocket star. You don't have to kill anything with it, (the higher levels, it won't.) but it keeps their aura down, so you can attack and take over other stars. (Which you should immediately turn into defense until they're safe.)

When you've got a good border, you want to change pretty much everything that's safe, to money, and just 1-3 stars to naval, then set your waypoints to combine them all. (The economy stars bring up your total money, which is on your top left. The reason why that's important is that is the MAXIMUM amount of ships you can have.) And naval bases simply produce ships faster... Even in the final mission, I only had 3 naval bases, but I had over 700 ships.

Ok, the instructions are a bit lacking. So here goes.
The bigger the star, the better base you have there, so get big stars if you can.
Defense bases MUST be on your entire border, or you'll lose. Just behind those, you need the fighters to reenforce. (They send out ships to take back and assist any star in their radius.)

Ok, incredible game. Just completed it on Normal. Also, D3matt... If you fail one mission, you just start from that mission. Pay attention.

There are a couple of bugish elements in the game...once you get those sorted out I will give it a 5/5 rating....The tutorial needs to be more detailed and cover the finer stratagies more completely....what I am saying is : I can't figure out how to use the Rockets to any real advantage and does the $ really do anything.
Too much is left unexplained or under-explained.
I want to play, i don't want to sit and figure out the interface.
Otherwise you are on to something with this game.

Quick tip: if you capture a star in an enemy "base" change it to defense ASAP. That usually keeps them from taking it back and gives you a pretty firm foothold as long as they don't make a rocket star.

ok, the concept is great - you could explain the surround system a little bit better (I always need to guess where to place ships to get surroundingbonus). One huge flaw is the performance though - it's just too laggy too quickly. Maybe you should replace single ships with the same target with a fleet (like in nanowar where for performance reasons bubbles with the same destination were fusioned).
5/5

I got past it, the only thing I could think of was that I put the game on extreme speed, and killed them all. The yellow group didn't go off the bottom of the screen this time.

You CAN adjust the speed. It's not difficult at all to understand. It is like a SUPER upgraded version of Nanowars. (This is much better.)
I ran into a bug it seems: On the 9th missions, where yellow and green attack me. I kill all the enemies, but the Victory message never happens, and I just sit there forever until I end. I've tried it twice now... The only thing I've seen wrong is that an entire group of yellows go all the way from north to south off the board. I can only presume that they're stuck somewhere offscreen.

cool game, kinda gets laggy once you really get going with the ships. maybe if you had the option of splitting the specialization of a start between two specializations instead of just one.
