Note to everyone, there are no additional upgrades for the Valentine's event after e3915. This means at best you can only get Big Heart 10. Once one tube can reach 290 heart size, don't upgrade that amplifier. I lost out on that achievement since I can't feasibly reach 290 heart size now.

For the idle meta energy upgrade, I think it should tick on the minute and not the hour. So instead of getting 1 tick of .50 in one hour you get 60 ticks of .50/60 in an hour. Personally think this makes it much better since it allows you to go watch a YouTube video or something else for a few minutes before coming back. If not that, then maybe a Meta-bonus for active playing. Reasoning for these changes is my sense of the current bonuses feeling a bit limiting and underpowered vs just saving for density.

Aside from that, great game, and its good to see that we have events meaning it hasnt been abandoned like a lot of kong idle games do. 4/5, could be a 5/5 if there was a little more emphasis on "idle", such as possibly an auto-upgrader in meta upgrades.
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, it turned out more active/incremental than idle, so while we've tried to address this with idle multipliers, they really kick in only later in the game. We're still thinking on the best ways to make this more idle-friendly.

As such, big heart's very high requirements also kindof make it a bit anti-idle more than anything. Possibly future events could have the same achievements as the base game, but restarted, and provide maybe a 5% bonus each for those, along with a major event-only one

I feel like potentially, there should be different ways to get items from valentines event, as the "big heart" is extremely slow, and requires you to basically come back every 5 mins to upgrade something in order to progress
They're in effect 2 minutes after you didn't do anything in the game (didn't buy any upgrades/clicked bubbles, you can still change tabs/change multipliers) - regardless if the game is active in a browser, or you closed it.

Seventh event reward at e+2121 and as far as i can tell any further rewards gives you gems based on the achievement level

Does ball sizes matter more than the tube height? I think it's the length of tube that makes the difference... know what I mean?

THere's something seriously wrong with the estimated time for the bounce rate of the hearts. Most of them say almost 20hs, but I played like 8 or 9 hours ago and now they're all almost in the floor of the tube. Not happening with the regular one though, only with the heart event.
We've re-verified it multiple times - it's all accurate. Maybe they were not at the top of the tube or something? Did you have any shop/event/whatever other bounce bonuses? While they all should work fine, maybe we've missed some? If you can send us your setup (savegame) via bug report, we'll re-verify bounce estimated time.

oh and maybe like next valentine's day you can continue where you left off (unless there was a really major update or something)
It most probably doesn't make sense to release that as a separate game, although that could be an interesting idea (not a lot to lose by releasing it separately).

The game keeps wiping my save since the new update. I'm getting fed up and may just give up entirely on the game if it is a recurring issue. Otherwise, it was a great game!
Sorry for your problem. While it shouldn't happen, in some browsers/security setups there could be problems which we can't control or forsee. If you can contact us via bug report with more details about what happens and your setup (browsers/security settings), we can try to figure out what the problem might be.

@Almostidle / Dev: Suggestions/Feedback. 1. Colour mode is "too much colour" - can you just make the text colour match the ball colour and keep the background white? 2. Can we get some alternate themes (ie. dark colours, pastel, high contrast, etc) - look at swarmsim (swarmsim.github.io) for implementation examples. 3. Spikes: can you just remove it from the meta upgrade and make it an option "toggle spikes". 4. Bubble value: can you make it based on total of all balls instead of just one or make it take the value of the highest bounce. It is annoying micromanaging bounces to avoid spawning low-value bubbles (ie. setting 5 balls to 0% height and 1 ball to 100% height to force only max value bubbles)

Colors/themes - we're working on this (like, right now :) ). It's not very easy though, so we're not sure yet when exactly we can release this. Spikes - we'll think about it. Bubble - probably not. That was intended design and we're not sure we want to change this now.

Reward size: 40, 65, 90, 115, 140. Works out to about e275 for each next level, so ~e200 1st, e475 2nd, e750 3rd, e1025 4th, e1300 5th, etc. Rewards: +20% energy, +100% bounce, +10% gravity, +100% idle, +30% energy so far. Took about 2-3 active hours to get to 4th.

Why... why does this game not link to your Kong account? I play this at work to pass the time and when I get home I have to have either planned for it, copied the game data and email it to myself or start completely over...

first event reward: +20% energy at e+213.
second reward: +100% bounce at e+465.
third reward: +10% gravity at e+737.
fourth reward: +100% idle bonus at e+1034.

Working back up after a reset is too annoying... The idle multi is quite nice btw if you raise it to a few hundred and enough hours. Significant progression over night and even after being away a single hour you are a bit further, two orders of magnitude are nice. Nothing against active play with bubbles of course but it shouldn't be
We'll address issue of long runs after reset in the next update, by adding meta-upgrade with passive energy generation (like, at 1st level it will give about 1e81/sec energy). This will make it possible to quickly buy tubes / improve several times / buy upgrades after reset. The upgrade will be available later in the game though, so first resets will still work as now.

I've been playing the event for hours, and it's definetly broken. the "additional upgrades" multipliers, along with the lack of need to reset for meta, means the game never slows down.
I'm at E294, so far i've been one minute away from any upgrade, making bounce and idle multipliers irrelevant...
not sure if the perm bonuses are even worth all my work.
It's not broken, it just has different balance. Although we do have to agree with you here, the pace might be a bit too fast and less varied than main game. Still, as we see, a lot of people still enjoy it at this pace as well.
Yes, they're separate. In the next events it will be a single save, but in this one we had to do this as it was done in a hurry. Sorry for confusion and inconvenience.

I hope the balance in the Valentine mode isn't going to be the new balance for the main game; the small steps in upgrading doesn't feel rewarding. It's nice when you struggle for a time to finally improve one of your tubes and get a huge improvement.
We've also realized this. That looked good in theory and on the charts, but after playing for some time we get the same feeling as you about this. We're happy with multipliers in the main game. That's what events are for us :) Besides giving players variety and more fun, it's a test of different ideas for us, developers. That's why we ask for feedback to learn what ideas are good and what are not, and be sure - we read everything here in the comments (and a bit in chat when we can)

Well looks like I'm done with this game forever. Logged on after going out of the house for a bit and my save is completely gone. Valentines event save is just fine but my main game is completely wiped. No f*cking way I'm going to start all over again. Good thing I never paid money or I'd be backcharging the sh*t out of this game.

I clicked "Geal deal" under the valentine's shop and then closed the window and it wiped out my save game & crystals :(
It shouldn't happen. Crystals (gems) get loaded from kongregate server on refresh, so at the very least gems bought never disappear. If you still have problems with this, please contact us with more details via bug report below the game.

I just lost my main game data when I switched from the Valentines Day event back to the Main Game. I have done this many times before without any problems. The event data is still good but I have to start the main game over again.

there's 2 main features I would change in the main game. first: the spikes, make them gone to start and make the meta upgrade add them in AND auto-collect bubbles for you. second: don't make the meta-energy counter carry over, let it stay at its base value so we don't need HOURS just to get back where we were cause otherwise we don't get any more meta-energy
Both will break balance, so it's not possible. Bubbles are active gameplay bonus, not just some passive energy gain, so we won't make them auto-collectable. As for meta-energy - carrying it over will simply make the game speed up exponentially, so that's not good. But we'll offer some other solution in the next update (meta-upgrade which will give you passive energy generation, so that after reset you immediately have enough energy/sec generated to improve/buy upgrades, to speed up catching back to where you've reset).
You miss "Improve" button, which resets the ball/heart with higher energy and MAX height/size (the button appears when you have enough energy/hearts to be close to improve price).

Careful : You have to copy paste 2 codes for your save to be transfered : The one from the main screen and the one from the valentine screen. I just lost 10 hours because i savec only the code from valentine. Main progress lost. Not cool.

Can you add event highscores, or do stick to the main game only? Would be interesting to see how far players got in events.
We'll see if we can add it, but basically since it's javascript, it's very easy to hack (which a lot of players do), so high scores will be pretty much useless anyway.
