Sorta major issue with the age thing. It's cool that you get older as you play, but a problem that you don't age offline. That makes it much more profitable to get online for less than five minute intervals. I can get on, collect from the bank, click 540 times, and buy whatever needs buying all in a couple in-game "days." That way, I almost never age.

As far as I can tell, Stock is not really worth it unless I stare at it for at least an hour. Investing over 10,000 in it, I don't even make hundreds in returns after waiting for the high increases. Doesn't matter what I invest in either, since it's percentage based. I might be misunderstanding though.

If the game isnt about clicking and the energy is only here to stop autoclicking, then why does it take so much energy to do any ammount of school
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Saw energy. Quit playing immediately. I'm not trying to be mean by saying this but that kills a game for me. If I sit down to pay a game, I want to play as long as I want, not as long as the game will let me.
Nah... I decided not to be so cruel... Age stops at 80 with 10 energy capacity... At this age you can start new carrer (child) with some inharited benefits

Got a bug: when making money to finish the school, after month end and taxes payment game still thinks you haven't payed that money for taxes and forbids to click further, telling that you have sufficient funds.
Also, all this "energy" and "socializing" features are what this game will be hated for. I think it will get no more, than 3.7. Games should be fun, want money - make ads, but no "pay-to-win" system (I can see it will be implemented because of that energy bar).
I`m checking the bug... We will proppably add an alternative to hiring employees by buying the just like investments or shares. Energy thing is main factor that make this game more difficult and balanced - without energy everybode can switch autoclicker and finish game in a day or two. This game is about managing assets not clicking...

Why did you change the energy thing? It was good the way you had it. Now, I am done with the game for a while in a few seconds.

Small nitpick when it comes to the LAW career path. Judge (Law-3) pays $30/click whereas Lawyer (Law MBA/4) pays $51/click. In order to be a JUDGE, he or she must practice as a lawyer for at least 15 years. For the sake of the game, you may wish to switch those titles.

I tried posting in a forum post, but it hasn't been responded to, but clearly the developer is active in the comments, so hopefully you will respond to this. I've been trying to add "employees" but whenever I do and it sends the link to them, it says that they are unable to play the game due to it being in beta and them not having kong+. Yet they do have kong+. The same happens to me, and I can clearly play the game. Is this a kongregate error, or a game error? Either way, there should be a work around because it seems to be a pretty big part of the game in a way. But thanks for being an active dev! Nice to see you care about what people have to say.
Sorry. I dont use to check forum often (but I will). This feature is not working well while game is BETA phase on Kongregate. In < 10 days game will be published!

How about adding percent bonuses to choosing stocks related to careers? Med careers give bonuses to pharm stocks give bonuses , computer careers to tech stocks, etc...

Will goods that you buy in the shop increase skills like performance, energy, investments, etc...;otherwise, why buy them?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
energy = bad....friendsystem = bad.....otherwise great potential, but I don't want to waste extra time on an idle game :)

It would be nice if you guys added some info on how much money each job track can make, and how it works exactly. It's kind of annoying just randomly guessing at it.
Game has chat and forum. Feel free to ask other players about their experience... Btw. You can and should restart your career at some point and can check out yourself which direction is best.

The use of cars seems kind of pointless from what I can tell. I paid a large amount of money, expecting it to increase my income, but rather, it keeps the income the same, while just using more energy per click. It's really just a waste of money aside from reducing how many times you need to click.
You must find a way to avoid taxes! Before the month ends you should not have any cash on hand and before year ends its crucial to transfer your assets to investments
Energy capacity decreases when your avatar is geting old. When my avatar was close to 80. i`ve colleced some daily lotteries (about 10), bought investments for all my money and started career over. No I have 180% investment return boost, some cash, refills and upgrades from ltteries and my career is going forward way faster than at the first time!. This is how it suppose to work :p

Just an update about my previous comments, it seems if your info(i.e. bank upgrades, studying levels) keep getting reset to a previous point in time. You can save the game manually, it's the 3 horizontal lines in the top left corner.

The game just got worse. Really that Energy bar needs to be removed. The players seem to overwhelmingly want that thing removed. Playing the stocks means nothing if all your time and effort in the STOCK market is WASTED by the tax avalanche while you wait for your energy meter to fill. And now I have some kind of soft reboot REQUIREMENT before I'm ready in the form of my avatar is 80 thus only has 10 energy thus can't do anything anymore really? This game would be so much fun without all these little unnecessary mechanics.

I would like to be able to sell off bank investments for when you are strapped for cash or want to buy something else or get a better bank investment

So other than not being able to continue progressing for my MBA in Computer Science, I can't seem to upgrade my bank account past $32,000. I upgraded last night thinking, "Hey, now I'll have 64K when I log in." But I was so disappointed, not only was I back at 32K, I also lost the money necessary for the upgrade in the first place. :/ I'm not sure how others are continuing with the game. But it's quite frustrating for me, as there isn't much to do in the game to begin with, so now I pretty much have nothing left but stocks. But what's the point? I can't get a bigger offline profit over 32K, and I can't put any money towards schooling. :/ So I guess I'm just waiting to die.....

As of all the other comments and this one included, I really don't like the energy system. Idle games are usually a game someone sits down for hours a day, this is a couple minutes. If I were you, I'd think twice about having an energy system before you upload this. The idea and game are great, I'm having a LOT of fun. Keep up the good work!

I randomly keep ending up in negative money... Right now I'm 40K in the hole. All of my money is in the stocks with a negative profit and I only have 1 of each luxury so there's no way I lost 40K in taxes or similar.

I'm studying for an MBA in Computer Science, in this game. I was on here the other day and only had enough money to study twice. Yet, when I get on today, it's like it's been reset. I'm hesitant to waste any more money on it, especially since I appear to have already reached 68 years old. :/ How fast do you age in this game? @_@

Against better judgement, and in fear of having it destroyed. Here is a sheet which shows which bank item is best value to buy next:
goo.gl/g3WlLU
Please make a copy of it for personal use, as I don't think multiple people trying to edit one sheet will work very well!

now the question is... why we should play this game for money, when you have the same version free available here: http://www.kongregate.com/games/cannons/money-makers

Observations and suggestions:
1) Taxation needs to be more clearly explained. Reveal the exact calculations on taxation. Both online and offline.
2) Increased price for purchasing stock past a certain point of ownership needs to be crisply defined to the user.
3) Aging and lowered energy - again, not explained or made evident.
4) Stock behavior. Each company should have a behavior profile that is well-understood. Either volatile within a range, or long term trend with occasional large corrections. Explain this to the user community so they know how to try to invest.
5) Luxury items - pretty useless as far as I can tell.
Overall, this game could be good, but as it stands, the lack of transparency of the "rules" make it really unattractive. To bring game players, the game needs to be fun to play and to have a natural rule structure. As it stands, it is neither fun nor has a cognizant structure.
