games with kind of interface always irritate me: unkind to laptop owners. on top of that, this game is a memory hog, which also means persistent lag issues. i get sick of refreshing.

Press B to blow yourself up. This counts as an explosion when it kills an enemy and does not count as a shot. You can easily kill the final boss by repeatedly blowing yourself up next to its face. Self-destruction > grenade launcher.

And if somebody else wonders where in hell you're supposed to get 50 coins in that last level: If you explode the bags they apparently drop coins, which obviously you don't want to do when you still have the collect 5 bags mission open. Which means you're forced to do the boss battle two times, if I haven't overlooked 4 coins during my first try. And in the case somebody else is like me a little slow in the uptake: The boss can only be hurt by shooting him in the back.

The one thing that really gets on my nerves with this game is that in the later levels there is no way to get shotgun ammo besides random drops. For the normal levels that is enough, barely, but for the bossfight I simply don't have enough ammo. I guess that the dev assumes that I will have bought the machine gun along with all the ammo I could get for it, and maybe I could have stocked up on grenades instead of using them the whole time. But a better solution would be unlimited ammo stock in the shop terminals, so that I can actually spend all the coins I'm collecting in a meaningfull way and can also get the choice which weapon I use. Everything else I like well enough, but this one thing really bugs me.

For people who complain about the noise: simply mute your browser tab. Or mute your PC. Learn how to operate a machine first before using it! But I digress. I like the Metal Slug style of this game. My complaint is that I have to replay a level to tick all the side quests. The timed and weapon purchase quests ruin the most part. In general 3/5 from me.

If this was a full game, with more developed mechanics and a single big map, I'd totally take it for like 30 bucks easy. Great job!

Finish the 10th level with no more than 80 shots? Hell, just on the boss I used almost 200... And you can't sneak out since there's no lever for the door. Has this ever been awarded?
