Awesome. If I click "Skip" during the intro and then click "No", it locks up with a bubble in the middle giving tips and I have to reload.

For the comments below me, you can use in game cash to speed building, and just research the collect everything from planet technology.

Having to click on buildings to get their resources is even more of a "things I only expect to see in annoying freemium games" thing. Why not have them automatically deposited into my treasury when I complete them, like in Master of Orion 2, the masterpiece game in the same genre as this one that came out in 1996?

It seems weird for a game that DOESN'T try to get me to spend real money to offer to let me buy items to speed up construction. I tend to associate that with annoying freemium games. Why not just make the construction fast in the first place.
Only problem with that is the language I used for making the game (Actionscript 3) currently has a bug which makes the website scroll even when you have your focus on the game. So I came up with an alternative solution. If you have a better idea you're more than welcome to suggest it for the sequel!

Perhaps make it to where you have to defeat the planetary enemies to receive the reward, they loop back, or given a certain percentage defeated you get the same percentage of the reward. Additionally, scaling each planet as a percentage of your own strength would be interesting. Fighting enemies 50% as strong as me, or with 100% more speed would lead to specially designed armies to storm certain planets. Right now I just have an OP fleet that's faster than everybody so I get around cheap and hit hard. Defense is no issue because my lazers are faster, if only by a millisecond. Good game, got me hooked on the concept.

I like this game. Like, alot. Can't wait for the sequel. Get some 3d graphics and soundtracks going, and it will officially be the best game I've played in years.
3D graphics is something difficult to make in Flash, but if I can get my hands on Unity and start learning it, then yeah, totally possible. For the soundtracks, I just need someone decently competent on sound composing (which I have difficulty finding). If you (or anyone else reading this) would like to apply to be a sound composer or any other "job", don't hesitate to contact me. I'll be needing all the help I could get to make the sequel as best as possible!

bug report: sometimes when I try to send two fleets of ships at once, it subtracts the energy, but doesn't send the ships.
You could have made a definitive backup of your save file by exporting the game file into your hard drive in a convenient location (shortcut key is Shift P). But once it has been lost there is no way for you or me to retrieve it. :(

The UI feels like 1995, but mechanics & depth of gameplay are phenomenal. You're a badass of a school-age dev, and you know it :)
The sequel is planned to be released on the 25th December (this year) but depending on the obstacles I encounter the date may vary, but I can safely say you won't be disappointed with the game!

This game is very well made. There is a lot of polish that can be done, but your way young and this is a great first game to publish. I really hope you keep it up because I would love to see what games you make in the future. Well done.

Great game would love to see a sequel to this have really been enjoying it played it for awhile now, there should be an option to turn off the effects like gems popping up and the lighting ticking beause when dealing with big planets the lag is pretty bad, would be nice to be able to work with the larger planets, great game tho
That's exactly where I'll invest my efforts heavily on the late game aspect in the sequel. Maybe I'll try to implement a "chunks" system (the division of tiles; just like chunks in Minecraft) so only a certain number of tiles will render in bigger planets. If you have other suggestions on improving the later gameplay don't hesitate to PM!

Bug report (I think): I'm using the UT overclock on all my planets. However, I don't get as much ore as I should by simply using the collect all button. Here's how I know- I waited an hour, hit collect, and noted how much ore I got. I then repeated the process, but prior to collecting, I visited all my planets. This time, I got around four times my initial earnings. I think that the effects of the overclock didn't activate until I visited the planets. I think this because when I waited overnight, I got the same amount of money as I got visiting every planet. In addition, when I visit one planet and collect all shortly after that one planet is maxed, the collection is much smaller than when I view all the planets, even though they should reach maximum capacity around the same time. Is this intentional? (If you don't understand what I'm trying to say, let me know and I will rephrase)

An option to decide how many planets to load between display frames? Oh yes, those giant planets ARE worth conquering on my comp's Lego graphics card. You're a marvel of the modern world, Apple.

Set my system clock forward a hundred years for giggles, then set it back. All research I started is at hundred years. Hope Kongregate'll still be around by then.
