To beat final boss; use Pulse (fully upgraded, ofcourse.). It will cause the most damage. Each attack has a specific way to dodge and survive.
-Small blasts in V's; then large: Stay close to the boss where the "tips" are, and the V formation should pass right by you, then move to the left a little and the large blasts will miss you.
-Missles: This one takes some manuevering. If you start on either side and either slip past the rockets by going to the bottom of the screen and sliding across, or just below where the rockets appear and sliding across. Just make sure you clump up the missles.
-Pulse Attack: It's easy, all the attacks only come from the "tips" of the boss. Just stay where there is no "thorn".
- Criss-Cross Pattern: This, in my opinion, is the most difficult. Just go to the bottom right hand corner of the screen and there should be a few spaces that are large enough to fit into. Be warned, as his health decreases the bullets grow larger.

For those who still trying to beat the last boss i recommend using the pulse.
after experimenting all weapons( everything maxed ) on the last boss I found that the pulse has the best damage per shot on the boss.
best weapons in order for last boss.
1. Pulse ( as long as you hit all shots you'll take out at east 10% to 20% of the boss health per rotation(what ever the boss is shooting best hope is the missiles rotation since its so easy to dodge those))
2. Acid gun (stay close since your range isn't that good acid dot takes care of boss health while your busy dodging)
3. Bullets( stay at the bottom of the screen as much as possible for max dmg, since the combined dmg from all the split bullets exceeds that of the normal shots)
4. Lasers side lasers does all the work for you
999.missiles(if your masochist use this to beat the last boss the dps output of this weapon is utterly useless)

Level 10 without getting hit:
Fully maxed laser. Fully maxed allies help as well. I found that the only way i could do this consistently was to start by sitting right in front of his nose when he shows up. Then after he fires the first pair of rockets, back up a hair, so that you are essentially sitting at the center of the circle that the 2nd pair of rockets make. It takes some time to get the timing right, but as the side laser barrage finishes, travel laterally between the rockets left or right (I found left to be easier). As soon as your defense lasers kill the closest rocket(s) to you, shuffle back to the center (where the rockets go in circles). Keep doing this until the boss dies.
Eventually you will learn the timing such that you avoid both the rockets and the lasers. Really hope this helps!

When the song started, I almost thought it was Triple Gear (the song from No Time To Explain). Turns out it's a different remix of Top Gear's Las Vegas from the same author.

Wouldn't mind if it locked the mouse inside the game, been killed/hit plenty of times by accidentally leaving the game screen. Other that it's nice :)

This music will forever remind me of No Time to Explain, I keep waiting for him to yell "I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO DANCE AGAIN MA"

It would be great if enemy fire could be red, or another colour - it's hard to dodge their bullets while I'm shooting millions of my own, it gets difficult to keep track of who's is who's.

*starts fighting boss* I'mma firin' my-OMG WTF IS THAT????????????? WTF HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO AVOID THAT ATTACK????????????
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So we heard you like FIRIN YAH LAZ0R so we put lasers in your lasers so you can FIRE YAH LAZ0R while you FIRE YAH LAZ0R

Things are way too expensive starting off..I shouldn't have to replay the second level a dozen times so that I can even kill the enemies after level four.

Did anyone else find themselves grinding their way through level 13 over a thousand times just to make enough to buy everything?

playing the game when all of the sudden I see on the left side of the screen "Congratulations maxmolly! You set a high score in Reactance: Total Deaths"

where is this music coming from?! its the same music from "no time to explain" but there isnt any indication of what the music is

I found the methods detailed for beating rockets on level 15 accurate but poorly explained. Your aim is to make a flat-bottomed U shaped curved line across the bottom of the screen. rush to the left or right end of the line, then slowly move downwards. While you are doing this, you should see the lowest-positioned rockets (from the wave before last) explode from timing out. This should allow you to curve towards the middle and up the other side in the U shape. Then repeat.

Achievements need announcements... and rewards!
Also, please add another song, the one you have is good, but no one likes to listen to the same song for the hour this game is going to take to beat. 4/5

My opponents are geniuses, I'm moving through space, and they can match a shot to hit me where i will be if i keep a constant speed.

To beat level 10 without getting hit, make sure you have the laser upgraded all of the way for defense. When the boss comes out, stick to the left or the right and stay close to him. You have to stay in very small vertical space throughout the fight. Stay close to him - in order to avoid all of his beams - and wait for the missiles to come close. As they start to converge on you, whip out of the way by moving the mouse down. Moving too little gets you hit by missiles; moving too much gets you hit by his lasers. It'll take a few tries, but it works. It's an art form. Good luck! plus it so everyone can know!

I played this game 9 years ago, and I still think the blunt truth about the speed is humorous: "x meaningless units per second". Sometimes the truth can be funny.

There should be an option menu somewhere with Opacity sliders for your bullets and enemy bullets... they're all the same color and theirs get lost in mine and I get hit

General Hint:
Upgrade Bullets for farming, then buy Laser. When you finished Lvl 14, farm with the fully upgraded Laser (good against mobs) and buy the pulse (good against single enemies) and upp in full
Guide level 15:
Equipped weapon upgraded Pulse (~x1,85 DMG compared to the Laser)
ROCKETS: move down, let the rockets come close, move right, then up, until the next wave comes from above, let them get close, but not hit. While going down the first wave runs out of fuel. Switch to left side. Repeat.
BULLET PATTERN: Hide in blank space inbetween and move with movement of the pattern itself.
PULSE WAVE: move up and stand there until blips show up, then move. Repeat.
SMALL BULLET/ACID RAIN: move in one of the moving patterns and let the acid hit you, you can´t avoid it anyways.
In Rocket and Bullet Pattern phases you gain health by regen once you got used to it, so make use to upgrade health, regen, shield fully. You can keep Speed at 7, it´s not necessary.

Great game, it's quite a bit of fun to play. The grind for upgrades isn't the worse part of the game, but it is a little much. As for the final boss, I was just able to beat it on about my fifth try on it, and I can agree that it might have been a little too much for how the game was shaping up to be like in terms of difficulty, the only thing which made it bearable was the complete predictability of the way that attacks would pan out. In all, a good job, but it could use some colour (doesn't need to be completely colourless to be colourblind-friendly), different music (one short track looping on and on is a little boring), and maybe some sound effects that could also be toggled on and off on a different level than the music, to add a little more dimension to the game.
