Thanks Pycrete, I ended up at 2743 (perfect + 8) and realised what had happened with that! I guess if you squint, the triangle is wider than tall.

Yay... finally got all 25 birds. Have to say that level 3 really took me a while... it is so symmetrical and seems like it should be relatively simple -- really had to think about minimization on that one! Also liked the concept of the white stars and figuring out which group they should be in... most of the time not terribly difficult, but if you get fixed on one color, you could be stuck for a while fruitlessly looking for your birdie!

if you could add an option for color blind people that would be great it is very difficult to tell green and red apart at times..

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Although brain-melting at times(if you are a diligent ornithologist), it's quite rewarding once you get the hang of it. A well-deserved 5/5 parrots for this one.

And actually, there is one case where it looks like stars are symmetric but are off by a few pixels. Level 24, the three red stars on the right appear to form an equilateral triangle but the optimal traversal through them is 8 pixels shorter.

Please turn off the glow when you take a while to make moves. We can very clearly see unused stars without it, but when you highlight them that brightly we can't see their color behind it.
Hello NormaTheNorman,
Thank you for your comment. We agree that the game looks very simple, but some best solutions are hard to find.
If the game is rated well we will add a hint function and/or a walkthrough.
Often when the distance is just a few points longer than the best solution the best way is completely different than the expected.
Please note that we did not included any nasty traps. No stars are out of symmetry for just few pixels.
