All you have to do to achieve great height and score in this game is simple;
Achieve minor points and prepare for star sliding by doing as many tail slides as possible. Each time you jump off a tailslide, you should notice your jumping a little higher. Occasionally do a veritacal jump, then jump right back into a tailslide to gain more speed. The trick to getting fast starslides AND jumping off them, is to approach the starslides from an almost horzontal angle. Then you just jump starslide to starslide, and hope you get lucky.

Ok, I got what you said about doing a tailslide by approaching the surface of the water as parellel to it as possible, however, I still am not jumping very high out of it, it's a decent height, but it's much much lower than if I were to just normally swim straight up out of the water. As far as what you say about the starslide speed, I have had a 25+ multiplier and very high velocity, and I barely go anywhere while I am starsliding, and in fact, slow down extremely fast in addition to getting zero height increase jumping out of it. Are there other minor things that may affect the gameplay from functioning how you say it should work, such as quality level, processor speed, etc.? Thanks.

infinijin. the reason you may be going right back into the water and falling back to earth may have to do with the direction youre traveling. for a tailslide, you want to approach the water as parrallel as possible. and for the starslides, you want to have as much horizontal velocity as possible. it transfers that into how fast you go, which should translate into higher jumps off them. and the more starslides you do, the higher you will be able to jump off other starslides and tailslides the next leap out of the water. hope that helps.

Can anyone who can type good proper english please explain the whole tailslide/starslide thing to me in full detail please? Every time I attempt to do either, I hit the UP key as fast as I can after starting the tailslide/starslide, and I only jump up about an inch, and then just fall into the water on my back or if it's a starslide, back down to earth back-first, though I have time to straighten out for a good entry there. Why might this be happening? I've read a good number of the posts on here to verify that I am attempting to perform this trick correctly, so I am absolutely sure I am doing what I apparently supposed to.

very enjoyable game, but it's hard to get to the diner. (i can only get to pluto) pretty addicting too i must say! 9.5/10 (no 10/10 because it's frustrating after a while ^_^)

ive discovered a bug that could help with reaching the restaurant. start a timed swim and round up some fish, but do not lead them out of the water. gather up as many as you like, i prefer around 12 or so, and then rind a ring underwater thats about the same depth as which you start. swim directly to the left of the ring and press menu and restart. once you begin, the ring will be right next to you and when you take your first jump, you will get the bonus as if you still had the fish with you. Starting you off with like a 5x multiplier. hope this helps.

Couple of hints, to get the carnival trick, you have to keep spinning non-stop from exiting the water to entering it, I can only get this on my 3rd jump, to get wrap around you have to do a circle underwater and come out the same way you were going, to get a reverse, do a half-circle and go out the opposite way. To get a rewind, do a flip one way, then do a flip the opposite way, this can be done for both directions.

heres a way to get great results! in the beggining, just do horizantal jumps until you have about 30-40 seconds left, then go vertical and only vertical. can anystarslides you can. and you can only go upwards on a starslide when u are on ur jump, not ur way down. your welcome!! :-)

The clue is to build alot of speed in the water bij getting a high multiplier and getting 20-tuple+ nice entries, then, slide the water and press up arrow, you'll get to about mars, if not, make more nice entries. Once there, you'll notice you have alot of horizontal speed, now, it's time to slide the stars. Once you get one, press the up key once it start to move up, you'll fly like...250m, keep doing this with every planet you pass.

Yeah, I think sliding's the only way to even get up there. Funny thing is the first time i actually made it high enough i shot way past the restaurant..

the resturant is in all modes you have to go past pluto and then its alot further than that probly about the same distance as pluto from water you do this by getting horizontal speed and then getting star slides but jump off them quickly. oh yeah awsome game 5/5

Slayer, what about carnival, wraparound, reversal, tail / star slides? Keep workin at it; there're plenty more.
Dezima, make sure you've got lots of horizontal speed going into the slide, and get off of it quickly. Takes practice.

getting to the restaurant is impossible ive had 20 people try for two hours each. and its literally impossible. they each got abt 30 seconds of hangtime and still havent reached the damn restaraunt.

Fun game, and decent graphics. I enjoyed this after a couple tries in the time mode. The only bad thing about this game is there are way too few tricks. Lets see, tail slide, front flip and back flip, corkscrew, and were done. Other than the trick limitations its not too bad. The only other thing I did not like is how hard it is to keep the combos going to build up speed. The way I see it is I'll have enough speed if I had ten minutes do it. Even though the concept is a little shaking, overall a good game 5/5.

I agree with everyone saying you shouldn't just go for horizontal speed. Till 1:30 or so you can actually use mutiple tricks and some luck based factors (Schooled, Extensions) to extend your mutiplier up to ~16. Now, build horizontal speed which goes much faster parrallel to your multiplier. But more important, this way of building makes the vital Tail- and Starslides increase your speed much more than with the simple horizontal jumping. Still, just now I was about to fail again due to bad luck when I suddenly did enter a Pluto starslide and rushed up quite a bit higher than the dinner, so whether there is a starslide or not is luck based. But as long as the preparations are correct, this isn't as impossible as it seems.

The best thing to go for isn't straight jumps, each time you get a nice entry your meter per second speed increases by the multiplier you've built up. So, if you've got a x25 multiplier each time you nice entry it'll give you more speed than if you had a x10 multiplier. Build up horizontal speed that way, then try to hit low lying star slides and slide on them for as long as possible, don't for height until later. Starslides take your horizontal speed and multiply/apply it to your vertical leap. So basically build up a high speed, get starslides, and then when you've built up a whole bunch of speed in the water (it's okay to lose the multiplier at this point... you've probably got about 20 seconds level anyway) tailslide on the water, and then hit up to break it. At that point try for the nebula/jupiter starslides and then starslide as much as possible, with pluto as your last one. You'll hit the restaurant if you built up enough speed and vertical leap bonus.
