OK. you take an already amazing game. And turn it into something even better. This is something only the best of the best developers can. I'll add you to my list now 6/5

Very nice to see old school games like this, 5/5.
Only down side, it's hard to choose what gun you want to upgrade.
(you know the game is a gem when you complain because you have too muche, nice job guys)

Congratulations. I played the first one and this is superior in every way. I think this is my favourite platforming flash game i've ever played. After this and Glissaria, you're definately a developer to start keeping my eye on.

Noticed in the runner minigame it still says "Height" whilst moving horizontally. Maybe "Distance" would be more appropriate. Only flaw I found in this game, very well done and looking forward to the sequel. :)

If I could help in any way fix that sh*t caused by the downrate bots I would do it instantly.
I hate this kind of things, especially on a site I like.
The game IS very good, not in my personal top 5, but it's an unmistakably good game nonetheless.
I'm giving you 5/5 and my personal apologies, 'cause I know none of the people who downrated this is going to actually apologize.
So, I'm sorry for that.
Keep up the work, it's good.

really enjoyable, familiar to other recent games but done well. Would like some more visual feedback when I lose a life/heart, as its not immediately obvious this is the case

Great improvement from Diamond Hollow. A nice variety of mobs, great boss battles, varied levels with secrets, and lots of upgrades make this game fun. 5/5
Also, fully upgraded Spreader Gun tears everything up like a fat kid eating cake.

Just a small thing but I would love get diamonds for killing the smaller enemies during boss fights. (I'm greedy) Great game btw. 5/5

I just uploaded an update with a few changes that you should see soon: Fixed freeze bug (if you click at the top of the screen), added story speed run times to high score board (sum of chapter times), fixed completion time and boss mode high scores, and decreased enemy spawn rate and speed in tadpole mode (so it's more fun and less frustrating). Thanks for the great suggestions and bug reports, your feedback is awesome!

I emailed Kongregate about this game possibly having phony accounts negatively voting it and a few hours later the rating jumps up a bunch.
I wonder if they found something?

Diamond Hollow II was the victim of some serious and coordinated downrating (botted). Weāve got measures against this, but it looks like we missed it here. Iāve purged those ratings and the game is up over 4.2, a jump of 0.7 points.
Fortunately it looks like Diamond Hollow II was affected far more than any other game. Weāll be doing some work to make sure this kind of botting is harder to do. An ongoing war against hackers and hatersā¦
Thank you so much for your help in resolving this. Hopefully the haters and botters go find somewhere else to set their sights and aren't going to continue bothering us. :)

I can see it's going to take me a long time to play through this, but here are my so-far impressions: Awesome game. I like how you've taken the good from the first one, and fleshed it out. The combination of upgrades with actual designed, coherent levels keeps it interesting and addictive.
My only constructive criticism (not a big deal, just something I noticed): When you first start out, I find that the jump power feels very disproportionate compared to the walking speed. I suggest making it start out a little faster, adjusting the increments between upgrades to compensate. I'd suggest lowering the starting jump power, but I can see that would affect the level design.
Keep up the great work! 5/5

Awww yeah! I really liked Diamond Hollow, and I'm looking forward to trying this. I'll comment again after I've played it thoroughly.

Something is fishy here...
As I rated a much deserved 5/5, I saw the rating actually drop from 3.39 to 3.36.
Either a lot of... Misguided players voted this down at the same time, or we're facing a slimy conspiration.

There is some seriously shady crap going on here for your rating to be so low....
That being said, you do a great job, I do miss the dash feature though and would like to be able to upgrade the double jump. I haven't finished yet though, but I'm giving this 5 stars - it is way better than many of the games in the weekly/monthly list and I was pissed off that it disappeared so quickly off it.

110.54% game completion? Talk about going above and beyond. Anyway, this game is a great addition to the Diamond Hollow set. The only part I disliked was the Tadpole minigame. It's way too luck-based, the hit box seems a bit wonky, and it was not fun to earn the achievement unlike every other one. 800m seems like a tad much, it took me hundreds of tries to get lucky enough the enemies didn't spawn in areas I could not dodge. 5/5 game otherwise. Also, I'm sad there was no 'secret' ending for getting all trophys, like with a true escape with Saga.
I battled with myself about a secret ending like that for a long time. However, in order for the secret ending to feel "worthwhile" it would need to be something such as an escape with Saga. However, I very much want to keep myself open for a Diamond Hollow 3, and I felt that that would hold me back. However, it's definitely something I'll try to plan into the next one from the start, because I too love secret endings. :)

When i see the note "3,42" i was like "Oh no... I have waited for a game that not worthy?"
... Last time i beleive a vote, this game was awesome. but i stop at chapter 3 : my secondairy computer is really slow, but once i'm at my main computer, i will play this game forever. \o/

Great game. A bit too "grindy" when it comes to powering up. Should be less upgrades that have more impact instead of lots of upgrades that have very little individual impact. Also auto fire should just be on by default with a toggle to turn it off. Just my opinion though.
Side note: Been a while since a saw a shadow boss, very retro, and very cool.

Pretty good game got 82% of it done so far. I would like to point out a bug in the game if you accidentally click on one of the weapons at the top of the screen after you have changed to a different weapon many times it will cause the game to lock up and you have to refresh it to get it unfroze.

I'd write up some witty review, but honestly... i just love it. This game is awesome. Its like... Tower of Greed and Metroid and the essence of all that is good mixed together.
Thank you! Unfortunately people get large groups to downvote new games so they stay higher in rankings/front page. Hopefully time will help even out those hordes of downvotes, so I can understand how people truly feel about it. :)

My god. This is awesome. But I think we should have some sort of cutscene on why the gun stopped wanting to do his duty or what the doctor/professor is trying to do or something.

This game is not better than the first one, but different. I sincerely enjoy them both, but I liked the style of the first game better. Even so, there is much improvement in this game. Bravo, Arkeus. The unlockables were a nice touch. There is also a very interesting storyline that keeps me hooked- makes me mad that a bunch of big assignments for school are due soon. Great game, 5/5.
