This is proving to be a very entertaining game indeed. I like the combined elements of Tower Defense, RPG AND Gems, although the feature I think I like the most is the ability to pause the game in order to build my towers/equip my character so that everything isn't so overwhelming and all-at-once. Thank you! 5/5

Tips: You only need a few sweep towers and put frost/curse stones in them (you can upgrade these last, they are only for the status effects). Usually I just make 1 long range tower and put 2 poisons in that since it has the highest damage and change its priority to highest hp monster (instead of default). Don't bother with peon towers (they suck later on). Stick swift towers near corners, use arrow towers for everything else. Upgrading is way more important than towers. Gems are also your friends and key in surviving hard mode, just don't stack too many stuns/curse/slow all in one place. Use space bar if you feel you can't multitask fast enough.

Love the game, but it would be nice if it were more obvious what exactly the hero stats did, like how much damage the attack and strength stats actually add. It would also be nice to have a way to select what the hero attacks, like there is for the towers.

Monsters are attacking? Bring me my abacus." "This is hardly the time for games, Prince Trey. And why are you wearing a wooden shirt?" "BRING ME MY ABACUS!
Thanks! I've made some changes to slow down enemies overall, along with increasing the time between waves during the earlier parts of the chapters to help give you more time to build and strategize!

one complaint, before leaving the playing map, please let us reallocate equipment if we have any available before leaving the map. has happened repeatedly, i match some chests, then get kicked from the map before i can equip those items.

if you want to level up for the achievement. play the first map and where it asks you to place a tower: just gather resources instead. Keep matching up red stars until the prince is level 10. No enemies will appear and there seems to be no time limit.

Suggestion: could there perhaps be a way implemented to easily compare your equipped armor/weapon to the ones in your inventory? It's a bit of a hassle to constantly mouse-over back and forth.

Amazing game! Programmed in 48 hours? Disgustingly awesome!
One question: Sometimes all of a certain tile disappears. I don't know what triggers that......?

This was a tiny game with a TON of content: towers, upgrades and orbs; a hero who levels and can be equipped, and a puzzle half of the screen. I enjoyed this game a lot but I would've much more enjoyed if there were some breaks .. my elbow is sore now and I couldn't even watch my towers crushing the lovely designed foes. As suggested I too would prefer a separate puzzle-resource-gathering minigame before the actual tower defence level. Anyway, big compliment for this awesome piece that, with some improvements, could easily compete with the top tower defence games of today.

I like it. But part of the satisfaction in tower games for me is watching my towers do their work. Most of the time I was rushing to keep my resources stocked. I was missing all the fun of watching monsters get smashed. It was a change of pace, but it didn't really have the same satisfaction.
Perhaps timed rounds of attack and resource gathering? It'd be nice to expand the puzzle section to be larger, so I could focus on that without squinting, then place my towers and see how my planning lasts that round. Maybe killing monsters sooner up the path gives you more time during the resource round?
I absolutely think that would make a great game! However, when making Glissaria my main goal was to make it fun for players who normally get bored with doing nothing while their towers attack in typical TD games, so it would go against that goal. But I hope that if I don't get a chance to make a game with phases like this, that someone will. :)

5/5 great game, hope there will be a sequel ! but it's frustrating that a 8 row or column give just 8 resources... Thanks !

While I like the game, I feel like I'm not doing anything other than playing the matching game and pausing occasionally to build up the towers. I keep finding myself behind where I want to be with the monsters, for instance. It would be nice to know when you make a match exactly how much of a resource you collected as well, perhaps a small number + symbol blinking up when the match is made.

It appears that the endless high scores only get reported to kongregate's score system the very first time that you try the final endless map. It would be nice if the scores were reported after each endless map. Otherwise, good game.

Absolutely terrific game, Have been playing for 5 hours straight.
-Few suggestions, Maybe adding in a 'final wave' or have a wave tally E.G. 1 / 50. (Hate having full inventory of weapons and stage ends.)
-when you finish a level, maybe go straight to the level screen instead of main.
-If you get 2 full rows of something on the farming screen (can be different) get a bonus of some kind (people will try harder to save mats for bigger combo gain)
-For when inserting gems, be good if you could highlight a tower, then double click on the gem for auto input.
-When you get a row of something in the farming screen, be good if a little number popped up showing how much you gained.
-When equipping items, where the stats are for the new armor (unequipped) it shows underneath what you already have equipped.
-Maybe gems for the hero too?
I hope any of this has helped.
This really is a good concept for a game, I hope you make more games in the future.
5*

As some have said already, I love the game and concept, but as I'm match-playing, I tend to miss out on all the cool stuff happening on the TD screen.

I'm giving this 5 stars for the moment as it is good. One thing I would like to see is a separate gathering resources and tower defence. say 20-30 seconds to gather resources then the first wave then an extra 10-15 seconds to gather between each wave. ATM I'm gathering then pausing to place then back to gathering, don't get to see all the fun of the kills. Hard to strategise with my tunnel vision. It could also be a gather before the assault scenario. Use your resources wisely once you have gathered them. But 5/5 for something new.

The puzzle is a great idea, but it takes away from the tower defence aspect of it all. Im spending my whole time frantically trying to gather resources and never get to see how my towers are doing. It's a great idea, but it needs a more practical application.

This is one of the more enjoyable games I have played on this site. The fact that it was created in two days is mind blowing. I hope you make a full game of this. I would love to see the ability to switch characters added, Ex the Fighter attacks single monsters, mage attacks groups, cleric fights a little and spends other time buffing towers, thief attacks a little with a low damage and high critical, the thief may also steal small amounts of items.

Really need to give time at end to look over and equip armor, I had just got'n a double line of chests, but to my dismay the level ended and all the armor I got was lost..

Great game, but I found I have a small problem. Well, less a problem than an exploit. The first level is infinite, if you don't do what it tells you to. You can just sit there, getting your hero experience, for as long as you like. Might want to fix that, say five it a 30 sec time limit for each step, so that people have time to learn, but not enough to cheat.

I like this game, but if its possible, i'd like to compare my actual equipment and the selected one, so i can see which one is better, and maybe colored names according to the stats. Anyways 5/5!!

nice game, might be more fun if you add more feature to the puzzle system haha. like combos or such, as i mainly focused on the puzzle rather than the battle/TD. 5/5 anyway and keep up the good work for the next game! :D

This is one of the best tower defense games I have played on Kong. The only issue that I have had is the birds; I keep thinking that a slime is coming.

God, I'm surprised about how this game is underrated! One of the best I've ever played, sadly finished it already, i think an Impossible badge would be perfect (like having a big total amount of time in survival) but no hopes for it =\. Hope you see my comment Arkeus, 5/5 amazing game!

My hand hurts, it would be neat to add being able to move the tiles horizontally/vertically with the WASD or arrow keys instead of having to click. But awesome game, really original. Keep up the good work.

The game aside, which is very enjoyable, I appreciate the fact that Arkeus, the developer, took the time to respond to so many comments on his game.

One simple bug that I noticed is that when you have 2 towers close together and click on one, it's impossible to click on the one next to it over the menu (tower options)

Awesome game, your goal of player not being bored while watching towers attack was succesful. I was so concentrated I found myself in minute 12 in endless mode without even noticing :). Definately 5/5. PS : I'm not a sucker for great graphics, but some improvements would be welcome, maybe in version 2 :)
