I found a method that's still not completely 100% likely (this game is a lot of luck...): I started out with janders5's setup for day 1, 2 band and 2 launcher. try to get enough money on the first day for at least a parachute and either an e-rocket or band/launcher upgrades. On day 2, get as high as you can, then deploy your parachute. try to collect the floating coins (avoid the platforms unless you see a gold one and have a spare parachute). I used this method and got up into space on the 1st try on the 4th day. + to keep it alive. :P

Looking for the hard badge? Here is some advice. Day 1: upgrade band to 2 and platform to 2. Pull straight down (all the way... even if the elevation stops at 0... keep pulling to the bottom of the screen) and go striaght up. Then pick a direction and use your thrusts in spurts. If you don't make enough to upgrade anything, then reset. Upgrade ONLY band, platform, e-rocket, or parachute. If you can get an e-rocket do that. Next priority is band. Then parachute (parachute is used only to AVOID boots on the way down and collect coins... this will also extend your hangtime multiplier.... the parachute is the way you make $$$ to max e-rocket and band and get as much platform as possible (need at least 4 from the max). I ended up getting erocket and parachute at the end of day 3. Day 4, I made $28,000 and maxed everything. I got into space without any erocket boosts on day 5.

"The trick is getting 3k+ on the first day" Am I even playing the same game?! Its barely possible to get $250 on the first day, how the hell can you get 3k+??

that should be an "Impossible" badge, not hard... 5 "days"? or LESS?! especially with needing to know all the tips and tricks, and land everything as close to perfect as you possibly can, or refreshing the page to start over because you fell a few short of that one vital upgrade

... i... bloody crap i did it... i cant believe... yes yes YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! yeah!! wooh! stat time i refreshed 167 times, posted 18 comments counted countless numbers, (cause it was more interesting than constantly refreshing) sat here for enough time to let my family watch two whole movies, drank three cups of crappy off-brand cool-aid, beat 3 and half other kongregate games(what i was bored), wrote 6 factoids down, watched 23 other comments of peoples sucsesses get in negative rating, +'d over 65 other comments on this game, and failed to acheive orbit in 5 days with a 700+ launch as one of them 17 times. zam kongregate if you put another ridiculously luck based and retarded badge of the day on here i will find my nearest gamestop and spit on their door repeatably then get arrested for vandalism... so uh...dont do it again zam.

Just got the hard badge. It really is all about luck. I had probably 16 day 1's where I only got 20 bucks. Then one time I tried it, I just got really lucky, bounced on a bunch of 5 and 10 dollar platforms, stayed in the air and got 60 bucks. I got 3600 dollars my first day. Then just upgraded the launcher and band, parachute and e rocket. 2nd day was also great, stayed in the air for over 2 minutes and got about 20 grand. Day 3 I got 17,000. Then day 4, I fully upgraded the band and launcher. If you upgrade both to max, you don't even need the e rocket to reach space. With a fully upgraded band and launcher, just pulling all the way to the bottom of the screen will get you to space. Made it in 4 days. Now time to try to do the same thing in number 2...but in 3 days..that's insane.

Forget this game. No restart. Constant refresh. And nothing but luck to rely on, forget this. I miss the days of flying penguins.

Several things: (1) You can get the band and launcher up to max and then one level of e-rocket and then get all three badges at once. all Just launch straight up after getting these things and use the e-rocket right before you start to fall back down and you will be in space. (2) Or you can get up really high and parachute down; therefore increasing your time sramatically, increase your multiplier, and grab coins as you fall. Just don't hit any launch pads. Or you can just get lucky and upgrade band, launch, and e-rocket. Start by upgrading two points in band and two points in launch. On you first launch try to hit as many platforms as you can and keep at a slight angle to the right or left, until you see a green or yellow pad you can/need to hit. There worth $5 and $10 so get them! Great Game.

If you can max elasticity and height by day 4, and get 2-3 e rockets, that's all you need to launch yourself into space without any platforms.

YES....Finally after a thousand tries of trying and hoping to hit enough of thoseplatforms and cash,i read the comments.Day one just try to get at least 700,1k would be better. Day 2 rocket and launcher.Always buy last available instead of splitting between launcher n band saves alot more money. By day three u should at least get a parachute unless u had enough earlier and get the highest band then just launch straight up and use rocket unless there a good platform or gold coin u can get real fast then use parachute and just try to get alotta coins no platforms unless u get close to ground and there a good platform.Then day four another rocket unless u have alot get both and some launcher then same thing as day three launch rocket parachute.Day 5 u should be cool launch rocketx2 or 3 and ur done.Only took like 3 tries that way just cause i used all my fuel by accident n hit a platform too soon.but if you use this trick most likely day 3 youll be getting like 10k.GOOD LUCK.

--Part1--i gave 3 stars because they don't explain a very important tip for people to understand when getting 5-day badge: **SKIP UPGRADE SQUARES AS MUCH AS YOU CAN**! example: If you want level 3 launcher, don't click level 1, then 2, than 3—you get a HUGE discount by skipping straight to 3. Knowing this fact made the game MUCH MUCH easier. The best way to start Day 1 is as jander's says (made mistake here about 3 in launcher)—also when launching on this first day, its important to get every ft you can: when click/holding hedgehog, grab as close to the Hedgehog's mouth as possible. When you drag down, it gives you just a few extra ft higher so you get more money. When flying the first day, hit every single platform that u possibly can ONLY on the way down—on the way up, stay as straight as possible to get the highest ft multiplier you can. This is all extremely important on day 1—i always get $1,400 or $1,500 minimum on day 1 (Unless i'm unlucky).
