Description

*Cloud Knights: Duels* is a physics-based fantasy dueling game for 1-2 players. You move only by swinging your weapon and using anything you hit with it to push yourself. No traditional movement controls. Just your weapon that is rotated with two buttons per player.

At the start of each round, you'll get randomly chosen weapons that all have their own strengths and weaknesses and might require their own strategy. The harder you hit your opponent, the more they take damage. Blocking the enemies strikes even partially will lower the damage received.

Win a star by hitting your opponent until their health runs out or by making them fall of the platforms. The first to get three stars wins the game!

How to Play

Player 1 (Green Knight):
*A*, *D*

Player 2 (Purple Knight):
*Left arrow*, *Right arrow*

*P* - pause

While paused:
*R* - restart
*M*- main menu

Main menu:
*1* - start one player duel
*2* - start two player duel

Fighting tips:

*-*Try to hit your opponent as hard as you can to cause more damage. Hit them really hard for a chance of a critical hit.

*-*Blocking even partially will slow down the opponents weapon and make their strikes less powerful.

*-*Try hitting your opponent also from below to push them away when they seem to be in a better position.

- The player is now slightly more powerful compared to the AI
- Increased chance of getting a critical strike!
- Getting the same weapons two rounds in row is now very unlikely!

Ways this game could possibly improve: More knight characters (maybe even knight customization), weapon choosing (allow us to choose our weapon to fight with), weapon customization, map choice, maybe some more weapons like ranged or even magical weapons, knight stats (can change up the stats of your knight to make it so he/she can take more hits or maybe swing the weapon faster or have less weight for better air), Switching weapons in battle (can have lets say 2 weapons per match that you can switch between in battle to suit the situation), and maybe perhaps online multiplayer if it becomes popular enough. These big changes might create an awesome online and offline fighting game on Kongregate.

Here's a few ideas for an update if you read this, Dev. I seem to be taking more damage than the AI, you could add a couple new weapons, have an equal chance at getting each weapon, instead of the four times out of 10 with the double bladed sword, and explain how to get a critical hit, because they seem very random.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. The AI should now be a bit weaker but still challenging. The weapons previously had equal chance but now it's unlikely to get the same weapon two times in a row. The critical hits are only possible if you manage to strike very hard without the opponents weapon slowing you down too much but they should now be more likely overall as well.

why do i take more dmg then the ai?

A lot of people seemed to feel that way so the AI has now been slightly weakened. Should still be challenging though. You also generally take more damage if a strike hits you faster.

The trick is to stay above the opponent for as long as possible.
