My highest tower level is 4, can anyone beat that? only a few tower types are even able to get enough kills for level 5...

i think that certain enemies should drop more of a certain hardware, like eggs should drop more coils & cogs, while cars should have motors & bolts

Like the new style TD but needs a bit of roughing out. Make the drop rates less random or more balanced in a way. Found that some of the later lvls I was getting tons of Ms in one match then doing the same map Ms were almost non existant. Like the towers but found that with the low ammount of waves it was best to go with reload/firerate rather then upgrading damage.

Manually collecting your rewards, and a more involved resource system helps to set this game apart from the otherwise saturated Tower-Defense genre. However, the process of building new towers, combined with a build delay and short breaks between rounds leaves this component feeling more frustrating than challenging. Beyond that, the xp system ought to use damage dealt rather than kill count for awards to towers: this allows the xp system to have a real effect on the alternative difficulty modes. As it is, with only 12 waves of enemies, only a handful of towers will level up more than twice. For the few towers I looked at, they all seemed to gain ~60% DPS for a speed upgrade, but only ~38-40% DPS for a damage upgrade. Unless there are enemies with natural armor that ignores low damage shots, there is no reason for such a significant disparity.

This game is not balanced, a bit too hard in the start, the "mouse over resources" thing is annoying... however, since the developer makes such a nice break from all-the-same TDs (experimentalism), and the game CAN be improved (maybe this version, maybe a future Zack's HW II...), I give a fair 3/5. ***BY THE WAY*** Kongregate, please, stop spoiling the comments. We see the comments while the game loads, and we want to see NEW comments, not the same top-rated. We understand you put this kind of "karma" to ease your lives and our lives, but make newest comments default! :D

Lol this kid must be really selfish look at all those toys...*flashback of going to buy them*
ShopKeeper: Ok that will be $6000000000000
Kid:Is 5 cents enough? *steals toys*

It's nice and clean, levels are ok, gfx too - it just misses a bit of a challenge, upgrade system, achievements, speed up which are expected in any TD game today. The randomness is a bit over the line as its really a mission winner/killer sometimes. Also the same enemies in the same order without any special feats gets repetitive. Mouse-over-collecting is a nuisance, as is the building time itself. But the game is still quite good! :)

leon2468, the reason the tomato launcher isn't firing is because it can only hit ground units. did you read the instructions? if you had, you would have known about that.

great graphics and theme. well done overall. exp based lvl up is not my fav, but it is interesting and makes for a different strategy if more levels actually. dont like the randomness of the drops, nor the hover pick up. maybe 1-2 too many tower types as well. fun though, thanks

The resource system is a nice touch. However, the random drop and random return on selling a tower makes levels a little TOO dependant on luck for my taste. I have yet to see enough of the 4th tear resource drops to win anything but the easiest of settigs on the third map. (The one that forks then meets at the end.) You can't build anything but the two lowest end towers without the little M component and You don't see them regularly enough. I have gone entirely to the 5th wave without seeing a single one. Sorry about the rant. The point is, random is NOT the answer in this sort of game.

I'd really like to see a survival mode or something that goes on alot longer, it would be fun to be able to get higher level turrets.

Good times. This reminds me of Toy Commander on the Dreamcast. It's a little too easy, but the upgrade system is pretty cool. 4/5

YES! We've got most recent comments back!! Yeah!!! I do, however, think that there should just be 2 tabs, that do NOT require reloading, to switch between popular and top rated. And it should stay throughout games (i.e. switching to boxhead would keep whatever one I had here.)

Very cool, outside-of-the-box TD game. I like the background/pathway look and feel and the towers are nicely designed. Game play is good with constant monitoring required to upgrade (keeps it from getting boring). Having to gather more than one resource is interesting -- adds a bit of randomness to what towers you can build. At first I really thought the manual collection of resources was fun -- but it got old pretty quick. Perhaps a toggle for auto/manual collection with a point % bonus for those who play manually. The track design is good, but it would be nice to see an increase in the number of waves as the tracks get more challenging. Great effort and thanks for putting together a good game!

it is very hard to find new TD games with new features... the diferent resources and the manual gathering are very nice ideas... Change the xp system and it could get much better...
