And this is really a shame, because this could be a GREAT game. The graphics are gorgeous. Careful placement of towers helps on SOME levels. But no one at Kongregate wants to take the time to give us useful documentation. Or maybe the game needs tweaking to make it playable. Makes me leary of all Kongregate games.

This game has the worst documentation ever! What is "corrosion damage", how long does it last, how about "poison damage?" No one knows. Do shots lose effectiveness with range? How can you gain more points to buy more stuff? Maybe interest, maybe not. Do some towers work better against different enemies? I've made it through all the easy, but am stuck on "shortcut." Looks like Magic towers are the best against flyers, unupgraded guns against ground, and leveled up archers against both. But sooner or later, usually around sixty, I don't have enough firepower to kill 'em all. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yep, right around level 35 the game drops from 3 or 4 stars to 2 and I shut the mess off with my last 5 guys and look for something fun and win-able.

Ok, I've had enuf. I'm sick of restarting to try better combinations the game is just too pointless to put in that much time and effort. And yeah, just a couple archers go a long way, much further than any other combo that I wasted my time on.

The only hard thing about this game is that your shots can actually miss if the target is too far away, so some levels are much easier than others because of the layout.
This is fixed in the standalone version, by the way.
Easy win, as other have commented, Single Archer tower.
Then add Poison towers, and corrosion + doom tower.
Or just stack deadly towers + slow, and a magic tower.
Also there is a 5% interest rate per wave, so getting to around 5-6k gold with the first archer tower with 877 gold upgrade is doable in some maps.

his particular TD for some reason. anyway, some tips I think may help. as others have noted, I don't see use for balloon tower or the double red/gun upgrade. lvl 6-8 archers are best. corrosion is nice, though I still can't verify stacking. poison and double green upgrade seem useless. Doomsday tower is the one I overlooked previously, and by adding a few of those, I was able to win. next to ice and it helps. ice also helps the slow air towers. I think if you start with just 1 archer tower and upgrade to lvl 8 you get through 20-30 lvls with just that one tower. with just 1-2 archers and 1-2 corrosions (lvl 1-3), you should be able to get to lvl 55 with full life (or often I miss 2 fast guys after brown boss).

at last, completed dead desert. used only green, with poison archery towers upgraded to $1000+. near end looked like was about to lose, so released next wave & won [just need to release 100 waves, but dont need to kill them all - cheating but can get on with my life now]

Ya get the Doomsday Tower by fully upgrading the Magic tree in the Air Tower. The Doomsday tower is (strangely) a Land-Only tower. Very powerful.

Meh. I wish I could edit comments. Lots of corrosion is good for late-game. In the late-game, guns and balloons are useless. By level 100, you'll be relying on corrosion, magic, and death towers only. ALSO: The reason the bounty on creeps stays at $1 is because you're supposed to conserve money, and rely on interest.

A flash version! I've played this on my PocketPC phone & bought the PC version a year or so ago. Lots of corrosion at the beginning of maps is the best way to defeat waves in the late game.

Needs fixing. The enemies only provide $1 per kill, this should be amped up to reflect harder enemies. I agree with the above comments about lack of intuitive combat.

Seems almost ok, but not intuitive / too challenging. Bullets miss, tower upgrade paths aren't obvious, upgrades feel unbalanced.

fun... well i got airship and it officially sucked....... Deadly tower upgraded is good, get highly uped of the 3 starter towers to own,, at first i did easy and i got raped, i tried hardest and got far odd.

I loved Azgard since it was first released as "share ware with buy option"... There is only two things wich ruin the fun:
1st no skilltree... You just can't see which way the towers develop.
2nd The projectiles. They are not seeking and youll find your towers fire/miss a whole wave and then... it's over!
Nontheless I rated 4/5 in hope that some slight adjustments will be made

Things that need to be fixed...: I have not yet seen a tower do splash damage, ever. Towers 1: are ruled by a projectile system, where it hits the first enemy in the way, and 2: don't lead their targets, causing horrible missing. Fix one or the other. I'm sure that balloon would be awesome if it's 3+ shots actually did splash... Show the projected stats when upgrading, like leveling. If I want a tower to be a damage dealer, I want to know if it's DPS is going to be lowered in favor of special abilities. It's an awesome game, just with some major flaws...

verify hard = easy, but I still can't get past level 75 usually (got to 80 once). are the ice towers worth it? seems the archer is only useful tower? I don't see the corruption stacking effect for me though, but it's hard to tell.

Nice version of a TD, but a few balancing issues - especially that the towers keep changing "focus" - they need to stick to a target (or be user selectable!) 4/5

Oh and there should be a command button "focus" or command structure for each tower like "focus with lowest hp" "focus strongest" "hit each enemy only once" and so on...
Sometimes Enemies really pass your defensive, cause your turrets shoot first at the one near the exit ... then they suddenly stop and start focusing one with full hp.. so 2 instead of one clear live losses are not to be stopped :P

Lvl 3 Upgrade lvl 3 only got 100 Shotspeed 170 Dmg Splash 37% and range 80...
If the Balloon could move, it would be great .. but otherwise in case of the costs (about 2000) for this lvl and Upgrade you can nearly buy 3 lvl 6 firetowers with an overall splash of 35% and 800 dmg each Plus range of half map :P

Look you really have to overdo the mechanics ...
Poison tower is useless, because 2% poision at lvl 3 is worth nothing
Therefor Corruption lvl 3 boosts 20% more dmg -.-
Infernotower is useless, because his special ability does not work.
Wave 83 is quiet impossible to beat.
example. Old Ruin wave 83 Lives 30/30
They rush through... dont even loose one life, cause they got 63k hp (normal) are EXTREMLY fast , so Fire towers cant hit them, and even the Arrow towers are quiet useless
And they are immune to Slow Stun ect.
Compared wave 93 with same tower lvls i kill the whole wave... but wave 83 with same towers and lvls gets through (all of them)
Wave 93 got 108k Hp per mob, extremly fast, but no immunity??! Fairness?

Fact is.. hard = easy Medium=medium and Easy = hard.
Also nice to know.. the corosion somehow stack.
Atm lvl 88 and still got only 10 towers... ranging lvl 6-8
